MolicareMolicare is a brand name of adult disposable incontinence briefs produced by Medline Industries, Inc. Medline does produce other versions of Molicare, plus a few other brands. However, we are mostly concerned with the Molicare Super and Molicare Super Plus.
Molicare SuperThe Molicare Super brief is a plastic backed diaper with 4 tapes with double tape for refastening. These have a purple outer cover and are fairly high in both absorbency and quality. Without elastic waistbands, the fit of the waist may be problematic. The Super version has a high polymer to pulp ratio, but is still fairly thick. Once wet, these will swell up a fair amount. It has leak guards that are effective. Molicare Super PlusThe Molicare Super Plus is almost just a more absorbent version of the Super, but with a few important differences. The color is still purple for both sizes, same tape system, and overall design. The significant change is the absorbent pad. This one is much thicker than the Super and holds a significant amount more than the Super. The biggest difference is the pulp to polymer ratio. This diaper does not swell up nearly as much as the Super and absorbs much faster. This is a very good choice for a overnight diaper. Overview and ComparisonBoth of these diapers are an excellent choice, but are not inexpensive. The Super will handle most night time needs, and the Super Plus can handle that and more. Either way, you will not be disappointed with your choice. ReviewsLinks
