What editing software do you use for your videos

I am wanting to blur stuff out in my videos and I am curious what video editing software you use?

I can't figure out how to blur things out in videos and make them appear and disappear. I don't want to buy the wrong program and find I can't even find that feature.

I know Windows Movie Maker used to have this software and now it's no longer available with Windows so it doesn't come with it anymore and it's discontinued.

Also what programs do you use in general when you edit your videos before you put them on youtube?

I've never found a need to post on youtube. Have an old program called cool edit for my video/audio editing, which still works plenty good enough for me.
