Tips for Muchies?

There have been a couple and currently most events are to far out for me to even go there. However, I'm determined to go to a meetup/munchie whenever the opportunity presents itself in the future. Any tips for a first timer? I have some healty anxiety about going and meeting other littles but I can imagine that for anybody who goes for the first time.
