Is My Friend A Secret DL?

So, I had a colonoscopy the other day... it was nothin. The prep is worse than the actual day, although for those who like to mess, they would've loved it lol

I had been talking to a bunch of friends about it... while I know diapers are offered as an option during the prep, none of my friends mentioned it except for one. I said how I'm gonna hate going to the bathroom, going to the couch, being there 5 min, and saying "holy shit" literally lol

so he said "just get a diaper" ... said it so casually. Idk, maybe I'm reaching for something that I really want to be true (I'm also kinda into him, so that's prob why lol) ... I could DEF see him being into this. He would like the submissive part of it for sure

All the friends Ive had over my years and never had any real inkling that any of them could be DLs...One friend talked about wearing them as a little kid but it was just him talking about memories as a child. Another friend of mine I think had a thing for those nylon swish pants. He always wore them and always would talk about them. How they would crinkle and swish as he walked in them. The sounds of them would often remind me of the sounds of some plastic pants. They are two totally different type garments though. So again no real diaper inklings from any friends of mine.

I highly doubt your friend is a secret DL. There isn't a whole lot of options other then wearing diapers, to avoid going to a bathroom every 5 minutes.

The prep is awful. And that includes what they make you drink. Trust me, the actual procedure is nothing. You literally do not remember it

There are definitely other options... stay on the toilet, race back to it... some people would not wanna wear one too

Would it surprise me if he was a DL? Yes... would it shock me? Nope

I guess "offered" wasn't the right word... if you look at colonoscopy prep tips, having a diaper is listed on like less than a quarter of them. And it's not like "oh you should definitely get one." It's more like "they are an option if you really need to"

Another reason why I think he'd be into this is because he loves torture porn/humiliation ... the humiliation part definitely plays a role in ABDL. Like I said above, it wouldn't shock me if he was. Wish there was some way I could find out...

Actually, enemas are a fun time. I give myself enemas on a regular basis - 2 or 3 each session and 2 or 3 sessions each week. (I had 2 this morning, 2 this past Friday and 3 this past Tuesday.) I've had to take the prep drink for 3 colonoscopies and a prostate cancer biopsy. What I learned is if my system is already flushed from a good series of enemas, the prep really does very little as there is very little for it to do. Also, one of my docs had suggested I drink no pulp orange juice immediately after the prep to get rid of the taste. I asked if there was a reason I couldn't add OJ to the prep. Nope. I wish I had asked that question before the 1st prep I ever took instead of the last one.

With regard to the OP wondering if his friend is a DL, you could just ask him, since he mentioned wearing a diaper to save the trips from the couch to the toilet, if he's ever worn a diaper because you were wondering what it might be like. From his answer you will get a sense how far to take the conversation.

That's a good idea! The only problem I see with it is that the colonoscopy was Thursday. It'd be too random to bring up now...

If I was smarter, I could've responded with something like "do you think I should?" or "Would you do it?" ... missed my chance

I didn't respond that way because I truly believe he's a DL, so I was in (good) shock... most people in their late 20s/early 30s would not suggest a diaper to a friend in that situation. They'd probably say just stay on the toilet. Add to it that he likes Saw, Human Centipede, Hostel... he loves the humiliation aspect of those movies. It tracks pretty well with putting yourself in a diaper...

Is it possible your friend is? Maybe, but that's true for anyone who hasn't confirmed whether they are or aren't. Personally, I think it's pretty unlikely unless you've seen other signs of interest from them. Since the context of the conversation was already kinda steered in that direction, I think they were maybe just trying to be helpful. Since it sounds like you and your friend are at least somewhat close though, you mentioned you know of his fetish/kink tastes, you could just ask? Maybe at the very least he's open or okay with it and you could have someone to talk to and/or partake in crinkly related activities!

You could always follow up with something along the lines of "Man, that prep was a pain in the butt to deal with! A diaper would've been helpful, I wish I used one" and could even follow that up with asking them if they used one for theirs!

We already had that convo... I said how I did wear a diaper just in case and that I'd probably return the box to walgreens. He didn't respond specifically to that...

His colonoscopy isn't for another 3 yrs... so kinda hard to ask lol

Also, would you agree that the DL kink is very popular in the gay community? He's never come out, but his father asked me if he was once and a lot have suspected it

If we were to get together with diapers on, I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the boner that I'd spring...

I'd kinda agree the ABDL kink/lifestyle is more likely to be present in the gay community.

From what I've seen, and this is just based on my own personal experience/observations so by no means is it statistical so take it as grain of salt, but a pretty large portion of the abdl community seems to identify as something other than straight. Granted most of my experience being social in the abdl community is in the babyfur/diaperfur community and a very disproportionate amount of the furry community is LGBTQ+ so that could definitely be affecting my experience too.

Also, it could just be the the gay community is more open/tolerant of alternative kinks and lifestyles that it's just less hidden in the gay community vs other communities.

I'm dying to know about your friend too! And i'm sure i'm not the only one. It is a tricky and awkward subject to talk about and bring up so that's totally understandable. I've only told 2 of my vanilla friends, but it was really nice to able to be honest and open with them about it. If you're comfortable with it and know your friend won't react poorly, then i'd say go for it! Not to mention as you said, if they're into humiliation, diapers can definitely play into that lol

The other thing I was thinking about it is that I still have the diapers... saying something like "tried to return to Walgreens. They have a policy against used packages. Gonna give it to a local nursing home... and yes, I used more than one" #hadtotryitout .... or something like that....

He scheduled a colonoscopy 3 years ahead of time?

I've only had 1 colonoscopy, and the nurses in the room mentioned something about me and the three other people before me were all the same age. I asked if that was abnormal, and they stated that they rarely see many people younger then 40, let alone multiple in the same day.

I used to drink broth two days before the procedure to naturally clear out my colon. The day before my last one, I was at another doctor's office and I mentioned I had the procedure scheduled for the next day. He told me to drink sprite. I used the citrate to clear the colon both times and never had any bad cramps.

He has to have his first at that age bc of family history...

I would agree with that 100%. Most straight people really don't confess to kinks for fear others will think them to be "strange." As I've mentioned elsewhere on ADISC, I have NEVER had a conversation with anyone (other than my wife) about my sexual practices. It's just something nobody I know talks about with others.
