In a (discontinued) pack of food and diapers for baby alive dolls on amazon (circa about 2006-2007 I think?) in the description the words “wet” and “mess” are used in regards to the dolls, er, “bodily functions.” I just thought that was interesting. Thoughts?? (If anyone wants the link dm me)

That’s the same terms that almost everyone in the AB/DL community uses.

Exactly, that’s why I thought it was interesting that a children’s toy company (hasbro) would use those terms

Oh, I overlooked that part. Perhaps they’re trying to use nicer terms for kids, no idea really.

I think those are generic terms parents use. I grew up hearing different mums using those terms. I think the company just used the terms at the time that most people used.

I heard there were a Wetsy Betsy and Shitzi Mitzi doll.

My wife and I had children that were diapered in the ’80s and that was no only our terminology, but that of the general public as well to the best of my recollection. I still use the terms “wet” and “messy” to refer to the condition of my diapers, that I wear due to dual incontinence, to this day.
