For welcoming me into the community! I’m a New Yorker with a wide variety of interests. I identify with a variety of terms, but am probably best described as a betasexual sissy.

I work professionally as a licensed psychotherapist, with a practice focused on providing affirming care for people with LGBTQ+ identities, kinks and fetishes, poly and CNM relationships and other kinds of “alternative” (for lack of a better term) sexualities or attraction templates.

Ignorance warning. What's betasexual if you don't mind expanding ? Could Google it obviously but think that's a little impersonal if there is someone willing to educate and explain.

Delighted! It is a term for a person whose sexuality is defined by their attraction to exploitative and emotionally sadistic partners. It is most commonly used to describe men who fetishize rejection, denial, humiliation, and emasculation by a woman, but I see no reason that it has to be sex or gender exclusive. A typical informal definition can be found on the Urban Dictionary site here: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=betasexual

I use it, quite unusually, as a sexual orientation label distinct from the common gay/bi/straight construct, because I find that construct doesn’t really speak to my sexuality—which is oriented around a top/bottom axis rather than a homo/hetero axis—in any meaningful way.
Consider it a sexual orientation correlate of a pocket gender.
By the way, I am also using “sissy” here as a gender specifier. See here: https://nonbinary.wiki/wiki/Sissy

Thanks so much for asking!!

Welcome and enjoy
