Haha, I’ve often scratched my head over this and I think the same.

I honestly think Kelvin Klein was instrumental in developing this type of jeans, just so the waistband was visible.

Personally I don’t get it and I bet they’re glad they’re not in nappies / diapers and plastic pants.
