So with my recent visit to the urologist and telling him that I was functionally incontinent due to Cerebral Palsy. I have had different issues over the last few years. Ranging from feeling like I have to go to and going very little when I do. I can hold it be On the other side of things I can go to the bathroom have a full bladder empty it. Then five to ten minutes later wet the diaper as if I did not empty my bladder completely. Either way I have been wearing diapers for awhile and I feel like this whole thing is my fault.

I feel the same way. Though I’ve been diagnosed with urgency IC, I now just wet my diaper without thinking. I’ve even had incidents where I’ve wet my pants when not wearing a diaper.

Your urinary problems may indeed be “your fault”. I believe that my occasional urge incontinence and my IBS are or at least may be my fault because of my lifelong habit of holding until it’s almost impossible to continue with an “accident”. But am I at fault for being saddled with fetishes that I never asked for?

And there’s this: every psychologist I’ve ever consulted about my fetishes has told me that I”m stuck with them just as I’m stuck with short stature and brown eyes, neither of which I chose. In other words, we are not responsible for whatever turns us on, especially If we are compelled by our own unusual desires — needs! — to self-sooth despite the possibility of harm.

in the end, we really have no choice but to live with ours kinky selves to the best of our ability, and to accept whatever difficult circumstances that we create all by our lonesome. Good Samaritan laws protect Good Samaritans even when they screw up. Let’s all be Good Samaritans to ourselves, in or out of diapers Or wet, poopy pants in my case.

Why are you searching someone (yourself) to blame? I won't search to deep in the past what happened for what reason and what could have happened if you would have acted differently but I would concentrate on the presence and the future. Fact is, that now you are functionally IC and that it enhances significantly your quality of live if you are wearing (and using) according protection. Regards this a s given, accept it (and of course try to improve your condition if possible) and make the best out of it!

It's not your fault, and it's not good to think this way. Anyone can become incontinent from a variety of reasons and circumstances at any time, but there is usually an underlying cause. You have mentioned your incontinence stemming from having Cerebral Palsy, so i don't understand why you are looking to blame yourself?

It's ok to like wearing diapers while being incontinent, I think that it actually helps to be at one with yourself, especially when you can't alter the situation. 🫂

So right. I am incontinent and have embraced it now and thoroughly enjoy being in nappies all the time.

Why would you feel like its your fault? Hopefully your medical providers dont make you feel that way. I have a serious neuralogical condition caused by an inherited disease. My condition has varied symptoms that in different cases are similar to palsy and MS and ALS symptoms including progressive muscle degeneration. Every time I see my specialist he asks me about my bladder control and its a bit embarassing because he is not much more than half my age. But its very common for these conditions. Ive been in the hospital twice in recent years because of my condition and in the neuralogical ward a big percentage of patients were wearing diapers and every room had a big stack of fresh ones. So dont worry about stuff you cant control. Its not your fault. Ive also twice been in hospital recently for other conditions and this wasnt common.
