guess it depends what you mean by good idea?
Is it ok to do it? Yes
are there possible risks? sure could leak
use a soaker pad & mattress protector
can it cause skin issues? yes
use creams to protect skin
Could you be found out if you don't live alone? Yes wear something over top of your diaper

It depends on several things:
Is your bed protected for leaks?
Do you wet while sleeping?
How full is your diaper and how much can it still hold?

If you're prepared, it's not even that hard when your diaper leaks. To avoid extra work, I only sleep in wet diapers if they have a high capacity and have some room, so not in a 100% filled up one.

Also, your question is not off topic. The main subforum with most content posted is designed for all questions around adult diapers: https://www.adisc.org/forum/forums/adult-diapers.5/

just remember this the longer you stay in a wet diaper the more you put yourself at risk of diaper rash

All the replies so far are quite true. The only other thing I can add is: if you want to sleep in a wet diaper, just give it a go and see if you like it or not.

You need high quality diapers to do it
