This may have been asked numerous times, but does anyone have tips to effectively contain the smell of a mess?

Other than changing immediately? There aren't any this side of being in a plastic bubble.

You can try a pair of plastics pants. They will help to slow down the smell.

They make pills that you can take that I've heard work well as long as you take them regularly, I think one is called Nullo I believe. Never tried these but I used to use baking powder for deoderizing. I would use a general amount covering the mess. You might want to use a lotion if you wear for extended time, the baking soda can give you a skin irritation. Carpet ftreshner with baking soda will also work well.

Yes, it has been asked numerous times. And yes it can be managed/controlled. I highly recommend using the search function as you will get a lot of faster input this way.

Use thick and tight plastic or rubber pants over it.
