catheter?

Has anyone ever used one? Is there any issues along with using them? Also it it painful?

I've had them used in hospital and hate them. if you are thinking of inserting one so that you constantly dribble into a nappy, don't! it is the quickest way to get a UTI or worse a kidney infection. you also need to be trained how to insert a Cath so that you don't tear the urethra or the bladder wall or worse over inflate the ballon and rupture your bladder.

I’ve had a lot of experience with those actually. They’re extremely uncomfortable and if you’re male, they HURT. A doctor putting one of those in me was among my most painful experiences, and taking them out is also absolutely horrible. I’d rather have someone break my ribs than deal with that again, but that’s my experience.
