At the Age of 10 How Many of Your Friends Also Had Some Bedwetting Issues?

What age were you and your brother when Masons mum diapered you
It was toward the end of grade school, so maybe 10 or 11?

Me and my brothers and some neighbors decided to go camping in our back pasture and there was 4 of us who were bedwetting in the tent. I was probably 11 at the time. One of our neighbors friends ended up wetting his sleeping bag and thought that he was going to get I'm trouble for doing it. We stayed up late playing truth or dare and I had to show everyone that I had a pull-ups on. We had to go talk to the other kids mom the next day and told her that I was also a bedwetting and was in diapers at night. I knew of several kids who were bedwetters including a friend of mine who has down syndrome.

I was struck by this comment in the string “were you still wearing diapers at 10”

I was still wearing Pampers (or Luvs) at 10, I dont think GoodNites came out til I was 11 or maybe 12 but I wore them whenever they came available. I was tall and slim at that age so fitting in baby diapers was a non issue for me and I really didn't mind them at all. Never really got teased about it by friends as many of them also still wet the bed so therefore I wasn't really ashamed of my diapers nor did I go out of my way to hide them.

Other than some kids, I knew from summer camp – I was in the bedwetter’s cabin- so that’s no surprise that others wet their beds- I was aware of only one other kid my age that was regularly bedwetting like I was.
Occasionally you might see something on the clothes line but it was pretty hush, hush so I don’t really know.

Well, not quite 10, but 9. From the time I found out that my daycare lady’s son was the same age as me and still wet the bed, I have been fascinated by the idea of wearing and wetting diapers.

Daniel was the same age as me, and I remember how shocked I was the first time I saw him wearing a pull up when we were 7 years old. His mom always had his clothes set out for him downstairs every morning. He would take off his pajamas upstairs and put them in the hamper, then come downstairs wrapped in a blanket to eat breakfast. Once he was done eating he would go into the bathroom and get dressed. This happened every single morning.

One morning I was eating breakfast with Daniel before school, and I remember looking over and his blanket had fallen down on one side and I noticed he was wearing a pull up…and the stars on the front were missing. At the time on the cartoon channels there was a Pull-Ups commercial that talked about the stars fading when wet. So here I am, 7 years old and hadn’t worn a diaper in 4 years, and I just found out that my friend that was my same age was still wearing and USING pull ups. Daniel was tall and extremely skinny, so the pull ups fit him with no problem. This fascinated me for a long time. Now it made sense why there was always a pair of underwear on top of the clothes pile.

Over the next two years I would always watch when Daniel came down for breakfast and try to catch a glimpse of him wearing his wet pull up. I wondered constantly why he always waited until after breakfast to take off his wet pull up. I figured it had to be uncomfortable to wear because I had a few pee accidents and always hated the damp cold feeling. I didn’t remember what diapers felt like to wear, so I just wondered why he didn’t take the pull up off right away when he woke up.

One morning sticks out especially well in my mind. It was an unusual Saturday morning in that my mom had to work. So she dropped me off at daycare. Daniel and I were both 9, in the 3rd grade, and Bear Cub Scouts. That morning, Daniel didn’t come downstairs until almost 10 am. When he finally came down he was wrapped in his blanket and ate breakfast like always. After breakfast, he joined me in the living room and wrapped himself in his blanket to watch Saturday morning cartoons. I noticed when he was repositioning the blanket that he was definitely wearing a wet pull up like always.

Daniel had a brother that was 3 years older (12 at the time) named Jimmy. Jimmy was a bully. After Daniel and I had been watching cartoons for over an hour, Jimmy woke up and came downstairs. Immediately he grabbed the remote from Daniel. This caused Daniel to jump off the couch and start wrestling Jimmy for the remote. After a few seconds Jimmy yells, “Eww! Mom! Daniel is still wearing his piss-bag!” Their mom rushes into the room and begins scolding Jimmy for the foul language. She helps Daniel up and takes the remote, then sends Jimmy to his room. She tries to discreetly escort, Daniel to the bathroom, then hands him his outfit for the day. I remember distinctly seeing his Pokémon briefs on top of the outfit.

I was completely shocked again, why would he want to wear this wet diaper for over two hours after he had gotten up. It was only a couple of months later, that the curiosity of what a wet diaper feels like got the best of me. I took an easy up that my mom had given to my sister to use for her dolls, and wet it. I apologize for the kind of lengthy story, but the topic reminded me of that situation, which is how I became a DL in the first place.
Poor Daniel! It must have been rough on him to have a bully for an older brother. As to why he would wear his wet diaper for so long in the morning, I can relate to. When I was engrossed in my Saturday morning cartoons around that age, I remember many, many times leaving my diaper on for a few hours and would sometimes resist going to the bathroom to pee. I remember watching Muppet Babies on CBS on Saturday mornings before breakfast was ready and I would pee again in my already wet diaper if I had to. If my diaper started leaking after another wetting, that would be when I'd finally take it off. But if I had another kid over at my house, there's no way I would have left my bedroom with my diaper on still.

1. Not something they discussed at school so i would not know. 2. I didnt really have lots of friends. But i heard one cousin had the problem. Plastic sheets.

I don’t really remember much of my friends being bedwetters growing up but then again it also wasn’t talked about. I kinda wish i knew a friend that was a bed wetter growing up so I could have someone to talk to about wearing diapers and we could have wore diapers together when we would hang out. Also I didn’t have much friends at that age and i only remember going over to a select few friends houses and Im pretty sure they didn’t wet the bed.

Back in my day it was talked about by mothers but not amongst children. I did know of a couple who were not close friends but lived close by. It was terry nappies back then, and they were dried on washing lines so could be seen in neighbours gardens, as were mine. Because of their size they were obviously not for babies.

I always wore my diaper, wet or dry, to the breakfast table. After breakfast, mother inquired, "How did you do last night?" If I was dry I got a star to place on my chart, a wet diaper earned a duckie or some other childish decal. My diapers and rubber panties were hung on the line so between the progress chart and the clothes line everyone knew how I was doing. This continued as long as I was living home.

I didn’t know of any other children my age who wet the bed, but my younger brothers and a younger girl next door were bedwetters. Our outdoor clothesline often had diapers hanging on it.

Had a friend around this age,
sat on his bed and heard the extremely loud crinkle of plastic sheets.
I knew instantly but didn't say anything. I snooped around his room for diapers but didn't find anything.
we never talked about it as I didn't want to lose my friend

When I was 10 I still wet the bed every night, My plastic pants were on the clothes line in front of our house every morning and sometimes my rubber bedwetter sheet as well for all to see. My mom didn't exactly keep the fact that I was a bedwetter a secret. Two of my friends were also bedwetters.

How did you know that? Because their mothers were also indiscreet?

When I was 9 / 10 and back in diapers / pp due to my heavier wetting, my mom would wash them but thankfully hung my pp up in the basement on a line to dry while my washed diapers went through a ringer a few times and then into the dryer. I recall one time right before bed I had to go to the line and get my #2 pair of plastic underpants as my #1 pair had not been washed yet. The elastic was still a bit wet which bothered me but I had no choice.

Sometimes my mother would hang my training underwear up on the clothes' line if it was a sunny day and I asked if she could use the dryer so no one would see them but she said sometimes there was too much wet clothes to be dried and no one would really notice my training underwear from regular underwear on the line. Strangely, this was true as my friends and I played in the backyard a lot and I recall being nervous about them running by the clothes' line and stopping and saying something but they never did.
