Anyone else play this game? I don't care for the new one much but I love new leaf and the original one

I used to play on 3ds. What's wrong with the new one? I thought it looked pretty good, was considering getting a switch along with it for these quarantine days.

It doesn't play like the original and heavily based on pay to play and forcing online integration instead of having it play and earned each day like the other games
