I thought it would be cool to post pic of pets. I won't post all of my pets at one time because I have many.

Is it legal to keep deer as pets?

I don't think that's legal in Canada. They're a wild animal and as such are not permitted to be kept as pets...maybe the laws are different in the US.

Either way...

That looks like animal abuse. Where are the trees and the grass...OUTSIDE THE FENCE...deer don't live on mud and a kid's wading pool....ick. IF that's a zoo, I hope it is shut down!

We have a zoo near where I used to live, they have a some deer there, the enclosure is huge (at least a hectare, I'm sure) basically deciduous forest which is where deer traditionally live (especially white-tail deer, which those in the photo appear to be).

Is there any way to post pics without having to upload an image from a URL? I don't have any pics of my kitties online except at facebook and that doesn't seem to work.

I'm with ayanna on the points about the deer. It is illegal to keep them as pets in the U.S. as well, to the best of my knowledge, and wild animals should not be kept as pets anyway unless perhaps they have an injury that prohibits them from going back into the wild. And even then, an effort should be made to give them an environment as close as possible to their natural environment.

Go to imageshack.us or Photobucket (the latter requires registering an account though), upload your pictures and just copy and paste the link from the (proper) box provided after you've uploaded the picture.
ALternatively, you can attach a picture to your post on ADISC (look for the "Manage Attachments" option underneath your reply box...don't use quick reply though!).

Awww......I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your pets. That's the one sad thing about having them, no matter how large or small of a pet you own. After our kid's two hamsters died my wife said no more pets. It tore her up to see them get sick and die. We tried taking one to the vet to save it, and he gave me a liquid antibiotic to feed it with an eyedropper. It was too late though...the hamster died while I was holding her trying to get another dose of medicine in her mouth.

Guess that's a long way of saying we no longer have any pets to take photos of for this thread.
