Set up a webcam with motion detection - Page 2

That's a good one.

I did this years ago when I had roommates. My door didn't have a lock on it... so I setup the cam to activate and record anyone who came in. Sure enough... a few weeks later it caught my lovely roommates letting two plastered friends of theirs sleep IN MY BED while I was away seeing my parents.

None the less... when presented with the evidence they both freaked... and paid for me a new set of sheets and comforter. Never again did anyone go in my room for anything.

Heh, heh...

I tried this with Santa (yes, the guy in red) once when I was ten years old, but my grandpa shut off the lighting! All I got was blackness....

I've considered setting up a camera a few times before...but I really don't have a need for it.

THAT, and I worry that should someone discover the camera, they would investigate why the camera happened to be pointed at the bed...and start looking....

Still....that's not a bad idea for college room mates...

My webcam software is able to capture motion. I don't know about sending the pic to my email though.

Webcam isn't all that though.

That gif had me cracking up.

I'd love to make a motion sensor-type setup for my webcam... but I honestly have no idea what I'd use it for. No one is ever in my room except for my cat (she's in here all the time).

I used it in my room when away with my mate for 2 weeks. Got frequent shoots of my sister coming in and looking around.
