spitting up question.

Is it possible for someone of our age to spit up not on purpose? would you have to drink formula?

Why would you want to? I was under the impression that spitting up was like vomiting, and a quick google search tells me that "Spitting up (most commonly seen in infants under one year of age) is the easy flow of stomach contents out of the mouth, frequently with a burp." (Parenting Corner Q & A: Vomiting)

But no, I don't think anyone of our age can spit up like a baby would, since a baby's digestive system is underdeveloped compared to ours. It's not the formula that causes spitting up, it's the baby's body.

So nope, no spitting up for you.

Anyway, I think it'd be gross. Bleh.

I thought everyone still spits up occasionally cause I do. It stays in my mouth but taste horrible. Does no one else experience this when they burp sometimes cause I thought it was normal....

Yup, lots. Same thing happens, usually after a big meal or long drink. *burp* Now I remember what I had for lunch... hehe. No, its really nasty, but sometimes it does have a reminiscent tast of a previous meal. Still really nasty stuff though...

spitting up is pretty much throwing up. Calling it spitting up just makes it sound less nasty.

Yeah, I would say spitting up is the same as barfing, throwing up, losing your lunch, tossing your tacos, etc.

You could always shove your finger down your throat. (JK, don't do that)
