I'm sorry, but hehe can you imagine. For the rest of your life, every time someone does a backup check, they would see you stole diapers. Please dont steal though! It's not worth it!

To be honest, I've stolen diapers before, but I think I was like, what... nine? So, seriously... just go buy some!

What do I do??

P.S. I really don't care if they're a crappy brand, I'm a desperate teen at the moment

EDIT: Whenever I'm there, the place is empty. It's very unlikely that I would get caught.

We've all been in your shoes...take them! I started a thread about it a few weeks back: Oh the thieving ways of my youth...

Ok, short term reality, if you do it once no one will ever notice, I mean in many hospitals in theory you are supposed to scan everything that leaves the supply room, then also place everything a patient uses on their account, however, from experiance I can say there are enough times that doesn't happen that a one off occurance would not post a problem.

That said, there is in theory a chance of someone figuring out that they are disappearing given a large enough quantity through both the method mentioned or by the individuals responsible for stocking the rooms noticing that they are disappearing at a rapid rate, again, last thing to cross someones mind usually, but in theory possible. There have been notices published about people noticing other medical equiptment missing, in fact a read a peice about a patient who was detained and fined for taking the used instruments from a suture kit (which is insane, and something you would think no one would notice, especially since they are never used again, at least in this country) but someone noticed and they got in trouble...

As far as the camera's go, might have one in the supply room, but the vast majority of patient rooms won't... On the topic of supply rooms, if you worked in a hospital cleaning and never noticed diapers it is probably just because the are often just kept in the clean utility room until needed, since in the vast majority of cases patients don't need them.

Ok so I guess that says it is possibly, HOWEVER, I would also say it is unethical, and you should not do steal them, while in theory diapers are a minor medical supply, someone is eventual going to have to pay for them at some point in the process and you are also betraying the trust that was placed in you. Is it easy to be tempted, sure, but that doesn't mean it is something you should be doing.

You just won the creepiest of creepy awards! Stealing them from you dad! I could see stealing from a younger sibling...but if I stole from one of my parents that needed them, I'd never be able to get the thought of them out of my head while wearing. Yikes!

Is there a way for you to give money to the hospital? I don't see a problem (but being caught by cctv or somebody checking up on you) with taking a few if you give the hospital some money beforehand. You could even look up the brand online to see just how much they cost, and give them a little more to keep your conscience clean

If you get caught after donating some money, you can just say that you'd have found it too weird to ask for one. (They might still think you are lying, though, because you could only donate one time but steal diapers regulary)

BTW, a good cover-up reason for stealing diapers as a teenager is wanting to play around with the superabsorber. They have youtube videos about that stuff, too, and you could claim that you just wanted to check out if this stuff really is that cool

You are a genius, my friend.
I could use that excuse if I get caught, and I'll just put a 5$ bill at the front desk (nobody's there)

Any form of stealing hurts someone. I don't care if it is from some corporation with billions, down to some family in a shack. You cannot justify stealing something no matter how small, cheap or 'different' (aka. diapers). Justify stealing a diaper, and next its the tips off of tables etc...

Granted for the most part no one will care if you take a diaper, but do you really want to start something that might spiral out of control? And do you really want to explain to a security officer, your parents or the police WHY you were taking diapers?
When i said "little" i meant it as in small things (diapers, gum, ect).
That said, i must admit i do agree with pretty much everything else you said.
