I found him!

I was looking around in the basement and I found a boy of my old baby stuff. There wasn't much in the box except for a couple sets of baby clothes and an old photo albam (which had no pictures of me in it). Then I found it, my old teddy, Mr. Bear! I knew it was mine because I saw a picture of me with it when I was still in the hospital. I felt as if I had a real connection with that bear, so much so that I just hugged him right there.

I still have the bear I got from the hospital when I was 2 or 3. I was hospitalized with a bad case of the flu, and had to stay over night. They gave me a brown teddy bear, which I squeezed all night. The next day, I remember them trying to take it away from me, and I put up a fight, screaming and such. They let me keep it

Ever since then, that bear has been one of several things that I have always kept with me in my bedroom. I still go to bed with it every night. I haven't named him, strangely enough, but he means a lot to me. All I need to do is touch him, and I feel immediately ten times calmer. So, I know what you mean about that connection.

I have always had a special connection with my stuffed Mickey Mouses
One I got when I was 2 the other I got when I was 7 just before my open heart surgery
to correct a whole in my heart that I was born with.

I have my Winne the Pooh bear still, and I have never let go of it. He sits with other stuffed animals in my apartment. It's always amazing how people are so fond of their stuffed animals even years later.

My wife still has her original teddy bear. I used to kid her about it, in as much as I'd kidnap it, etc. He lives protected in a closet these days. So her bear is still in the closet and I came out about a year and a half ago to my wife about being a DL/AB. How's that for irony.

i am laying in bed now, got my pooh bear under my arm, and the stuffed dog under my head. Not to side track the thread, but do your plushies have conversations with you? pooh and i talk, as the dog does.

i took pooh out of the dryer last week and he had that look "please don't do that again"
