Taste of Baby Food

For those who have tried baby food, did you like the taste straight away or is it an acquired taste?

And if you did can you recommend any flavours?

I have tasted baby food and I have to say; it's not really the taste, but the TEXTURE you have to get used to.

'Sweet' flavours (i.e. banana, applesauce) aren't so bad, but savoury ones feel strange. Imagine eating toothpaste flavoured like beef and peas and you have the idea.

So I'd recommend trying a sweet one or two, see if you like it, but you probably won't enjoy it much.

Hmmm I can only think of applesauce as anything I eat that would compare. And that is fine.

I'm conviced babyfood is a conspiracy to have kids hate vegetables. The sweet ones taste pretty okay, but theres something really off about things like carrots and such.

Vegetable baby food tastes disgusting, from what I remember from when my brother was a baby. However, the sweet ones are pretty good, with the exception of banana. (from what I have heard) Of course, you can always make your own if you don't like the flavour of the jarred vegetable/meat ones. Blenders=Win.

My oldest liked blueberry buckle for many years. If fact, I think he still likes it. As others said, definitely go with the fruit ones, nothing else.
