So I'm new and all, but really this has been bothering me, I started to like diapers 2 years ago, but Ive wet the bed since I was seven. So could it be that I just like diapers cause Ive worn them since I was like 8 or was it the fact I hadto wear them and now I just don't mind

It could be any number of things. There is no way to determine the exact cause of what makes any of us the way we are. All we can do is guess. My guess is you've lived with diapers for so long that you can't see life any other way.
Welcome to ADISC by the way. Nice to meet you. |

It can often be very hard to figure out where exactly the DL aspect of your life stemmed from. I've also wondered the same thing, if my bedwetting caused my DL side of my life. It's possible your DL side always existed, but it took the bedwetting for you to realize it, but it is hard to tell. I had a hard time figuring out where my DL side stemmed from, and I still don't know if I have it right.
I wet the bed most of my life. I finally quite when I was 20, about 3 years ago. I've always wondered if my bed wetting played a large role in creating my interest in diapers. However, when thinking about it, I think I would have become a DL either way. A lot of this reasoning comes from my memories of me wanting to wear diapers when I was four or so years old. Which makes me believe these feelings have always existed, whether I had diapers or not while growing up. It would have just been a matter of realizing it. I've always been a shy person, so if I was never a bed wetter I think it would have took a very long time for me to explore the diaper world. For example, I would have been way to shy to go into a store and buy diapers just because I wanted them. After I moved out of my parents house it took me many, many attempts to buy diapers for the first few times, and at the time I even needed them for my bed wetting. I don't even want to know how many attempts to buy them the first time it would have taken if I didn't need them. So, long story short, If I wasn't a bed wetter, I think I would have still become a DL. However, it would have been a much longer, bumpier road to get there. I've just recently in the past year or two fully accepted my DL aspect of my life. Without the bed wetting in my past, I think I'd probably still be exploring my DL side at this point in my life, I'm sure I'd be nowhere near the point of accepting it yet. I ask the same question. I've always assumed that's what it's from since that's kind of how I realized how the feel. However I think I wouldn't like them as much if I HAD to wear them vs. wearing them for fun. I stopped wetting at age 6 and didn't wear one until I was like 12 or 13. Great moment that was. I was always a little curious about diapers. I use to sneak looks at other kids getting changed so I could see what kind of diapers were being put on. I started wetting the bed when I was 9 and wore "protection" as my Mom called it. Didn't really care one way or the other as they were usually cold and clammy in the morning. However one morning, I hadn't wet the night before, but had to go really bad. I jumped out of bed and started running to the bathroom, and tripped on my rug. As soon as I hit the floor, I let loose. WOW that was a whole different feel. Nice and warm and cozy. At that point, I knew I wanted to feel that again. So from then on, until I was 12, even if I was dry in the morning, I would wet. If I was wet in the morning, I would just add to it, to warm it up. But then I really wanted to start spending overnights, and knew there was no way I was going to do that wearing diapers. So I stopped wetting on purpose and got out of diapers at night, eventually. It took about 6 months. I was able to sneak a couple of pairs of pants and while i could still fit in them for about a year, I wore them and wet them. I would rinse them out in the shower and sneak them back into my room and spread them out on the very top shelf of my closet, which normally didn't have anything as it was too high to reach normally. After I out grew them, It was a couple of years until I got my drivers license and went to the pharmacy and bought some more. I was really nervous. So I will say, that bed wetting was the impetus to get started, but I may have eventually tried them later.

Well it also could have had the opposite effect -- You could have grown to see them as horrible things because they're associated with something you never had a choice over (bedwetting). But I'm sure they make you feel safer, too. They keep you from having a wet bed. :-)
