Well ive been scheming about getting a paci and and im tired of scheming. Im wanting to go to walmart that has pretty much everything. And i want to bring a bag that that i could put it in that will hide it and make it to the register without rising suspition with employes or people that i know until i make it to the getaway car.
Or should i go to a smaller store. And have a smaller chance of being seen?

I'm afriad no one here can really answer that for you, it really is up to you. You need to take time to weigh up the risks and the benefits of all the stores near you, and maybe go on a scouting mission to a few of them to take a quick peek at what they have.
Takking an opaque bag, or a backback with you is a really good idea. It means you won't get caught as easily AND it's goood for the environment, so good for you

Putting things into bags may attract the attention of the loss prevention officer, which is WAY more attention that you want.
I would just have a story ready, or rather two stories. I will explain with examples of what I do when i go to buy my toys (diapers, bottles, etc): I am a little older (27) than you so my dynamic is a little different, but you should see how it applies. I have one story for close friends / family members I run into. Generally it is something along the lines of: "Just doing a favor for my co-worker" I have another story for my co-workers / anybody else: "My nephew is in town and he needs XYZ" So if I were you I would probably combine my stories a bit and tell my family something like: "My friend's cousin is in town and they lost the paci for their son so they gave me some $$$ to come pick it up" For your friends you can change it a bit to just say your cousin, they don't even have to be staying with you, maybe they were just coming over for dinner or your mom wanted to get them a present. But I would say imagine running into people in your mind and responding, calm and slowly, almost as if you were holding nothing "What this? Oh it is blah blah blah" I ALWAYS have my story prepared and it has saved me having to explain a BIG pack of diapers once to a wifes co-worker. |

Just go in the store of you choice and take a shopping cart I'm sure you can think f a few things to buy while your there no one bothers to look in someone elses cart, you can buy school supplys and just put the paci under the stuff you bought.
Buy a T shirt, get some new undies there are lots of ways to hide your purchase. |

Get a bag of candy, and put it on top of the pacifier. It will hide it well, if you hold it correctly. If you put it in your pocket or something do something stupid, just say that you have a sexual fetish for latex in your mouth, then walk with him to the register to show you weren't stealing. If the sexual fetish part doesn't shut him up or at least confuse him horribly, then you, my friend, may just have gotten screwed.
Now, for choice, go with the 12+ or 16+ month NUK pacifiers. The biggest ones they make for kids is a NUK3, and it comes in packages of blue/white/red or white/blue/red. Anything else will be a huge pain to use...so, you may have to do some scouting! When you get out of the store, throw the receipt and packaging into a public trashcan, so you have less to worry about when you get home. Hiding pacifiers isn't hard, they are small enough to hide almost anywhere. If this is your first purchase of "that" nature, then you will probably be pale and shaking like a leaf... My advice for you is to say to yourself, "if I don't do this now, I'll never do it!" Don't look at anyone, don't say anything. No one will ask questions. |
