They won't think anything of it. If it makes you feel less suspicous, buy another baby item with it to make it seem more like you really have a baby or a baby sibling. As for hiding it, this is something that can go in a pocket as soon as you walk out the door. No need to get elaborate. But don't stick anything in your pocket when in the store; good way to get arrested for shop lifting.
And if anyone asks you why you're buying it, just tell them it's for the same reason other teens buy them: ecstacy makes you grind your teeth. |

Just go and buy all the ingredients to make ecstasy and the paci. Everyone will know you have a legitimate need for the paci and think nothing of it. Okay, just kidding....really, lots of kids buy and use pacifiers for tension release. I wouldn't sweat it. Buying diapers is a lot harder.

Personally I've never actually given much thought to pacis before, all this talk of them however may just make me consider one
![]() And having no experience with buying pacis you can discard this thought if you'd like, but I don't think I would feel as embarrassed buying them than I would buying diapers, but because they are small they are easier to hide amongst other items??? BabyGrizzly's suggestion was pretty good with the candy! |

SilverStar,
If you want a pacifier, then I'd use Grizzy's method. I can honestly say that was clever. Most people are too concerned with themselves to pay any attention to what you're purchasing - unless its something obviously dangerous (gas, matches, cart full of spray paint). A pacifier could be for a younger sibling, a request from a parent, or something for a nursery. They won't be thinking its for you, or even really notice. In the extreme case they did, would they really confront you? Not a chance. I walked up to a cashier at Walmart in the "colorful" part of town, overalls drapped over my shoulder, and none of the goth kids even glanced at me. You just have to be confident. Think about how much you want that pacifier. It'll boost your confidence. Do you have a car of your own? Trust me, it makes things significantly easier. If not, just bide your time. Be patient. Pick a time when there are fewer shoppers, like at night. Maybe visit the store ahead of time and take a mental note of how its layed out. That way you can get in and out faster. Don't get nervous once inside. I know people who have deserted, and afterward, felt really embarassed. Everything will fall into place. Trust me, man. If you are confident enough, you may very well return for other things in the future. After awhile, you'll get used to it. Good luck! *hugs* |

Just pick up what you want, bring it to the counter and pretend to be on the phone. Don't look the cashier in the eye. Pay and leave.
I've done this almost every time I've gotten stuff from a store and either pretended to be texting or had the phone up to my ear, and no one has ever bothered me. Sometimes they dont even tell me the total, i just slide my card through the machine and leave. |
