Default hi what you think

The story of Captain Charles Stevens

November 13, 1942

Gunnery SGT. Jack “Gunny” Lauton the U.S.S. Atlanta was shouting orders to his men. Meanwhile CPT. Charles “Steve” Stevens was firing his Springfield ’03 Rifle at anything that moved on the Japanese ship, Ija Jein, this is an amazing feat in itself seeing as both ships are firing hundreds of rounds per minute and his ship was exploding around him, he made over 75 kills that day.

“STEVE! Get rid of that machine gunner! NOW!” Shouted Gunny.

These were the last words Steve heard from Gunny because the Atlanta had been sunk by a well place 22” round.

November 15,1942

Gunny woke up on the shore of Guadalcanal … 12 feet away was Gunny dead. Steve berried Gunny and then swore to kill the men who took this mans life.

How did Gunny wake up if he was dead?

Some of your information is incorrect. The US Navy does not have the Gunnery Sgt. rate, nor do they have the Captain rate. I recommend you check here for the corrct rates.

And wow, a 22 inch shell? Not even the biggest shore batteries had guns that big. The biggest ever were the 18 inch rifles on the Yamato and Musashi.

Sorry for not editing my first post to include this. I hate being a lurker >.<

Where did you get this from? I was going to try to fix this but I realized that I don't have the time.

I think we're missing the point of the thread: this thread has no point.

Wouldn't that mean that we aren't missing it?
