It's about weight and the underwires digging into your ribcage for support and stuff. As an owner of a pair of 36H or 38GG boobs myself, it just hurts to wear a bra after a while and yes I get fitted. :p

To the person who asked about gel bras. Gel bras are a type of pushup that have a shaped pack of gel instead of foam padding, these can be more comfortable than padded bras because they will somewhat conform to your natural shape, they also tend to be a bit cooler than regular padded bras

I'm really surprised you're both saying this. I guess in Scotland we don't get as much hot weather as others so we don't have the heat problem. On the other hand, I've been on holidays abroad and my bra has been the least of my worries, I'm more interested in protecting my poor poor peely wally whiteness from sunburn!

If you're struggling with underwired bras, why not just buy a bra without the underwire? Seriously, I very rarely wear underwired bras and I've never had a problem of it digging in. Or the other option is a sports bra. They're very supportive and obviously not wired for safety. Sometimes I sleep in one of my sports bra if my breasts are feeling a bit tender around that time of the month. Keeps them all snug and supported without upsetting my 'I don't like wearing clothes in bed' reflex!

lol I have the same pasty white problem :p but the way you're supposed to wear a bra is it's all supported from the band not the straps so underwires tend to dig in to the ribs after a few hours. Bras also do get pretty warm even in relatively cool weather.

my boobs are big enough that a wireless bra won't support me and makes my boobs look all floppy (ick) and theres such a big difference in between my bust measurement and my ribcage measurement (around 1/3 of a meter difference) that sports bras barely offer any support at all :/ unless they're really really tight in which case I'd rather have the underwire.

This!! I'm about a 32E or 32F; I've been measured several different times but it depends on the style of bra. I've never been comfortable in a bra; but that probably also has to do with the fact I don't like having anything on my skin. I'd go naked if I wasn't always cold all the time! When you have boobs that big it doesn't matter if you're wearing a bra or not, they hurt regardless!

And another gripe about having larger breasts: why is it you can never find anything cute? The size bras they make for Wal-Mart have cute pink stripes or hearts and lace. When I have to look online (nearest town that sells my size is 4 hours away, so no trying on for me!), all I find is nude, white, and black; maybe some colors but usually weird or ugly and not anything 'cute'. D:

Not to mention when I wanna dress little it makes me look weird. I look less like 'Oh, you cute little girl!' and more like 'Mom, why are you in my clothes?' (not that I have kids)

I used to when my parents would be on vacation, but haven't in a long time. Does it make you feel more girly or do you wear it for the feeling of the fabric?

I have several of my own, I like to wear trust me on this let your moms magically reappear in a non-mysterious way they can be expensive, esp if it is a vs or something of the sort she might come looking for it. For a good lg/tg/sissy try le faisan they come in lots of color are ush. lacy, around 10-20usd on avg. and come in tg/lg/sissy friendly sizes.

Both, I like the way a bra brings my chest up and just makes my dress look all that much better. Also I like the feeling of the fabric

Oh my Gosh, I could go on, and on. I'd quote all the good posts here, but that'd take all night...
I'm in Southern California, so I haven't had to worry too much about heat, and I can't speak about the large breast issue either.
I do feel girly when I wear them, and I love the way they feel. And that all depends on how they fit, yes. some of the B cups fit perfect, they push me up just enough, and I know it's there when I move, but it disappears after a bit. Some to the A Cup bras I've found are just as good and I've seen them in sizes up to 38"!
There are A LOT of options! Macy's has 'A cup' bras available from small to big, they're branded "Delta," and made by Maidenform. Victoria's Secret has many fabulous bras in the 'B Cup' most with too much padding for real breasts, but just right for boys. Then there's a Fruit of the Loom bra that fastens in the front, and has stiffer cups than both of those (I don't see a 'style' on the label, but I'd bet that Amazon would turn them up pretty quick -- or Wal-Mart).
Those are just my current favorites -- read: the ones I can sleep in comfortably.
And as a bonus: if you live anywhere near a "Burlington Coat Factory" you can find bras there for a dollar! I picked up a couple of gel bras (noticed Greenday asked about them) and I *kinda* like them. They squich around when I'm moving (love that) but they can look silly and feel weird if you don't fill them out.

Yeah, it's so hard to find cute bras!!! the best I've found is slate blue or purple lace, anything approaching "cute" tends to be terribly uncomfortable too.

Oh my gosh I know!!!! us with large breasts look like a "sexy maid" whenever frilly little dresses are involved, not the cute LG we wanna look like.

I thought I should re-comment on this. Yesterday, I went shopping and got new bras. I was completely wrong about my size, which is why they were so uncomfortable. Make sure you size your bra right!! The new ones I got are so comfy (albeit ugly, my size is a sort of awkward one). I really hope you boys/sissy/TG find what you're looking for. I've always had a lot of luck at JC Penny. I also really like the Flirtitude brand, they have really cute bras, mostly in the smaller sizes though.
