It seems like ever since I graduated from college and got out into the real world I seem to feel the need to really hug my plushies more especially when I get home from work. Just recently when I got home one night I went straight for my plushies. Unfortunately I still live at home but it has gotten to the point where I'm not caring anymore if anyone sees me cuddling with my plushies cause I am sure I have bee seen with them. I feel like I need them and I will fall apart without them almost. To me they are the only thing that makes me feel better at the end of the day. I don't know what I would do without them.
It may be because of stress or because I don't like the job but I am looking for a new one though.
I just thought that I would share this with you guys.

Thanks for reading.

I feel you. I've been collecting the for a while but my favorite happens to be Catbug. They're like stuffed animals but we can relate to them better

Hi.

I won't be with out Rex my faithful cuddly toy bog.

He hat to go in the washing machine the other week and I really miss him. It was just one night while he was drying.

Us littles are like this there are just some thing we need.

And that that.

Hope this put your mind at easy.

It can be hard being a little in a big world.

I have a plushie in my bag when I go to work, I need it. My bed is totally filled with plushies and I hug them every night cause it makes me warm and safe. Keeping plushies hidden when you are at work is okay with me, it can come across as a bit awkward. But what you do in your home is a different thing (not drugs and such ofcourse) - if you need to relax in your own room with a soft toy (the most innocent thing in the world)...hey, that is your effing right!!!!

I thought about bring Rex to work with me but he would have to stay in my bag. And I could only hug him when I have a break. Pluss it one more thing to have to explain.

I have my pasfier in my pocket so I can have a suck when no one is about.
And that help with any stress.

Rex stays on my bed on gard jury when I out playing/working.
Or just doing my big boy things that we all have to do.

I think it's natural to want something comforting and familiar with you when you make a big transition. Obviously if you're finding it unbearable to be without your plushies, that's a concern and maybe worth discussing with a specialist.

However, the act of sometimes needing them for comfort after a major change is pretty normal. It's essentially the same instinct as wanting a photo of your family on your desk at work or using your partner's t-shirt as a pillow if they're away for a while. Humans try to cling onto what's familiar during times of personal uncertainty or when separated from the people (and routine!) they love.

I started a new job Wednesday and was feeling rather stressed out. I tend not to use my pacifier much during the day - if I feel like it, I might suck my thumb - but ended up with it in my mouth later that day and the following morning. After my next shift went better than the first, I didn't feel in need of it.

I luge my soft cuddle friends every day for long periods of time, especially when feeling too cognitively overloaded.

I always go to sleep with my plushies and I'm always hugging my big teddy bear as I sleep.

Thanks for the responses I really appreciate it. I'll continue to sleep with my plushies and paci every night as they calm me down, help me to relax, and get a better nights sleep.

I hate staying around peoples houses when visiting people or people visiting my house if it gets in the way of my plushies, paci or baba.. I can't sleep without them! and I don't think that will ever changed because I have never slept without my plushies.. I even took them to my nans house when I went to visit because I had to stay the night because it was so far.. there is nothing wrong with sleeping with plushies! in fact, my friends will never let me forget the fact that the first time I got drunk at a house party, I started asking for my plushie monkey and blanket, the worst part? I actually had them in my bag!... I was 17... :blushie:

Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm the same way. I always sleep with my bear. The only thing that's gonna suck about my band going on tour this summer is that there won't be enough privacy for me to bring my bear. I don't know what I'm gonna do.

I feel weird sleeping without my plushy now and it is definitely a huge stress reliever. I definitely also get that sense of embarrassment/self-consciousness about it, but it really is a harmless thing that many people do (both abdl and non-abdl) so I've brought it to friends' houses and traveling before on a few occasions. I love sleeping with my plush Simba but it's not like I look forward to it throughout the day although if it were the end of the night and I couldn't find him I would be a little perturbed to say the least.

Who cares who sees you with your plush (easier said than done) and they only help you with no negative effects. Of course finding and dealing with the source of what makes you feel the NEED for them would be best, but never avoid spending time with your plush pals. It's just such a nice and awesome experience!
