People who wear actual diapers (still referred to as "adult briefs") are still stigmatized. What KC and PG are advertising, are pull-ons for VERY minor leakage, not more than one or two tablespoons. Sadly, cloth diapers and plastic pants are still out of fashion for adults. Same with disposables like Bambinos, SDK's North Shore Supremes, Dry 24/7's, Molicares, Abenas, and even the Attends products. I would like to see one of those commercials with people actually wearing an ABU Little Paws or Bambino Bellissimo! One can strongly BET that NO celebrity would even consider it!

I'd bet the other way, they'd prefer to be in something cute and good looking like a paws or crinklz rather than something that looks like granny pants.

Ok do I have to separate you two? Kidding
    .
.....I have to agree with Honeywell on this one though. A lot of women absolutely hate the idea of buying larger pants or garments because they think skinny is sexy. So if wearing baggy pants is not desirable than forget about the way a diaper looks because they are not even going to want to wear true incontinence briefs just because it makes them look fat and obscure. Hits the reason why this company is marketing more discrete products. When you can't fit something to look slim than the amount something is going to adsorb is going to be extremely limited sadly.

I would agree, that if I were laid up in a hospital, I would prefer what you describe. On the other hand, I seriously doubt one of those stars on the Depend commercials would show themselves in a Little Paws, or even a plain old Bellissimo. At least, not with how the media likes to present the ABDL population. I would still like to see it, because maybe then we might see a better variety of thicker diapers for adults on the market. Heck, I'd like to see Pampers and Huggies made in the adult size, with the exact same features as Huggies Pull Ups, Pampers Easy Ups, Luvs, Pampers, and Huggies Little Movers. All complete with the Luvs famous baby-powder diaper scent. I can guarantee you it won't happen, though. So the adult who wears the ABU products will still have that stigma. They are "too much like baby diapers". So far, NOBODY has made an adult-sized Huggies Pull UP or Slip On, and I am absolutely SURE they never will.

Doing a little Reddit browsing, looks like there will be some people reading it. Bloomberg news and at least two other business publications are running the same article. We, as Americans and Europeans may not be to the point they are in Japan where the adult diaper sales exceed baby diapers, but we're catching up quickly. One thing you can be sure of, if there is money to be made, it will be made and people will know about it. There might be a chance, albeit slim but a chance we see some mainstream actual diapers as well. Supply and demand....

There is a good market for the thicker Asian plastic adult diapers with taping panels, like the Bambino and ABU offerings. And people have been willing to shell out as much as $3.00 a piece. The ones who pay that price have needs that cannot be met by the big players. For one, the heavier absorbency.

And one cannot dismiss the tactile sensation of a heavier, thicker diaper which actually improves the functioning level of some individuals. Many medical professionals can understand this, yet the vast majority will not because it is "unnatural" in their opinion, reasoning that people would rather be stark naked than wear any clothing at all. And this is where I would totally disagree with them. None the less, that "naked" feel along with sex and pornography are what Kimberly Clark and Tena want to sell.
