Thread: Hallucinations Audio and Visual.

    Default Hallucinations Audio and Visual.

Sometimes when I'm laying in bed wide away, I start getting really stuffed up hallucinations only sometimes, and they scare the hell out of me.

Like last night I saw a rat thing on my chair and it made this awful sound that I cannot make sense of.

Sometimes at night I see floating things, and occasionally hear voices, usually when I'm awake in bed, or dozing off.

Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, they only happen where there aren't any lights on in my room.
Is this due to my high stress level? am I schizophrenic what Is wrong with me, I did notice a trend though, when I'm suicidal and depressed it tends to happen, but its mostly when I have some form of stomach pain.

Only happens with the lights off, sometimes its spiders that aren't there, webs etc.

Something is going on, and you need to be checked out to see if you are spiraling into serious mental illness.
    Feeling concerned for you.

I do have anxiety, and possibly depression of some sort, like occasionally I will have a moment of detachment where I feel like I'm going to collapse, only lasts a minute and happens at random times.

These hallucinations don't happen that much, but are happening more recently been happening on and off. they started a year before I started having anxiety and depression of some sort, but would happen once a year, now they happen every 1/2 weeks.

I should get it checked out.

from the discription you gave it sounds like it could be something called sleep paralysis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis go see a doctor there are treatments available

I am likely wrong one description reminded me of another go see your general physician they will send you to a sleep specialist if they cant find anything.

It could be that, but I can usually force myself to get up and look at the object, than realize its not there.

That doesn't sound like Sleep Paralysis at all, not if you can get up during the moment.

    Please see a doctor.

I am on the Board of Directors for a local affiliate here in my city of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are a grassroots, non-profit mental health support and advocacy organization. I am no doctor, and cannot as such provide medical advice, but I had a very dear friend of mine who was paranoid schizophrenic, and had a lot of the same experiences you are having. I am very concerned for you as well.I would advise that you see your doctor immediately. Either you are taking a medication that is causing side effects, or you are experiencing the symptoms of a mental illness. These type of things only get worse before they get better. Please PM me and I can provide you with some online resources to help you figure out what is going on. I will be praying that you get well soon.

    mantlepython,

It's pretty well been covered now... seeking the assistance of a professional... is going to be your best bet...

We are here for you and, will help what we can...

How you've been eating and sleeping... can play into this as well... In fact, it may easily be a combination of things... unfortunately, diagnoses is far out of our scope and range... you require proper and controlled studies...

We can't provide that yet, we will support you as best we can!

    My best to you,
    -Marka

It would appear that your complaint could be psychological in origin. On that observation I'd beg to differ for now. I am mindful of the two additional triggers that seemingly play into these eposodes of yours, sensory .. lights out and darkness, positional .. your laying down prior to onset of symtoms.

As has been said on here before, my only qualification is a first aid certificate, did indeed slip down behind the toilet cisterin. So you really need to bite the bullet and seriously talk to your doctor. Wish you all the best with this.
