That's pretty much your common human reaction to strange weird behaviours. It's not personal against us. We are, however , fortunate for having an odd interest that gives us a different outlook on life and makes us more humble and more accepting of others differences.

Thanks for that. I tried to be mindful of what I said but I also wanted to prove a point. Its not easy to keep the balance and say something that would have made us all look bad. I am just so tired of all of us AB/DL/Littlest/IC getting looked at so badly and I wana help end the stigma of all of us. I would love us to become more accepted like how the LGBTQ+ group is getting accepted.

Well, realistically, what can you expect from the mainstream media. WE are never going to get this result that everyone loves us, for our choice. It's just not going to happen anytime soon. Anytime it's been presented, there's always been outright ridicule, or a background theme of how weird it is. We have to try to stop kidding ourselves, because it is weird, it's just not illegal, or even bad for your health. As a matter of fact, FOR US, it's good for our (mental) health, so why keep asking a vanilla audience to understand something we grapple with ourselves?

For me, it is what it is. I love myself. I love my wife. I love my kids & grandkids. I love my choices in life. I love MY diapers. I'm not even sure I love YOUR diapers, but I do love mine, all of them. And, they love me, too. They love that I appreciate them for their functionality, and they love that I choose them over regular underwear. It a symbiotic relationship.

As for the audience, I'd bet that at least 1/4 of them have some absorbent padding on during the show, or had some on in the last thirty days. Nervous hypocrisy? Maybe. I'll bet if he had pranced around stage, pretending to be a woman on her period, he might not have gotten as many claps, and, instead might've gotten quite a few dirty looks. Crowds feed on each other, and the host is their guide. Stupid questions, and even stupider remarks. That's mainstream vanilla.

Truth be told, probably 5 people went home thinking about stuffing a baby diaper into their panties/underwear, JUST TO KNOW what the sensations are all about. If they didn't, then they're oblivious to learning new things.

I thought this guy was supposed to be funny? Mocking would be a better descriptor.

diaper = repaid, spelled backwards.... Think about it.

I did, and that's why I've been repaid@hotmail for decades...

I guess my thing is, I guess is just try and end the stigma that either having to or wearing diapers for fun doesn't make is sick, mentally ill, or worse a pedophile. I don't like how people look at ones that wear diapers are less of a person, its not right. I'm not saying I want acceptance of just wearing just a diaper with nothing over it, I just don't want people calling us less of a person because we wear them. Make since?

Well said.

Consider this, how many men have worn women's panties, at some point in their life (I have.)?? Substitute the women's panties for the diaper, in this segment, and you could have gotten the same guttural reaction from the crowd, and could have mocked the wearer just the same. Then, consider that multi-millions of men wear women's panties, or male underwear that's indistinguishable from panties, and then ask yourself how many of these men you've ever known, or that ever came out to you, spilling the beans, and confiding their secret to you? Probably never happened, unless you're in sissy/TG/TV/GF/GQ, etc. circles. Point is, would you, the diaper wearer react as the audience did, OR would you be a LITTLE more accepting & understanding of their needs & wants? Believe me, probably dozens of people you personally know, OR HAVE KNOWN, find themselves in anything from the sexiest of things, to the most bizarre granny panty made. It's human nature to look for more from life, and IMHO "secrecy" plays a big part in why many of us do what we do; we like to have & hold onto something secret, something special about ourselves that we really don't want to share with others. It's what makes us special, and unique. Embrace it! Love thyself. Accept weirdness in others. Have a life, and let others have theirs.

Well, in MY mind, we can hope to ease some of the shame some incontinent's feel about HAVING to wear diapers, whether they're bedwetters, or full on.incontinent. To know that "normal" adults CHOOSE diapers in their lives, for sexual & comfort/convenience reasons MUST ease their burden a bit, and for that, I'm very thankful of my love of diapers. As a result of it all, better products are on the market, semi-appropriate soft porn is available for them, that serves to embrace diaper wearing, in a fashionable sense, and this all has to just add up to a win-win for them AND us. An incontinent women no longer has to think she'll forever have to hide herself, and incontinent men/women can look at the whole situation as a method to understand and accept their disability, without so much of a stigma attached to it. Win-win!

So true. The thing I hate seeing is kids getting picked on when their piers find out that they have to wear. I just whish people would quit doing the 'your not a big boy or girl till your out of diapers' during potty training. I think that is partly were the diaper stigma comes from.

Yeah, I wonder how he'd have felt if the diaper guy pretended to be boinking his wife, or, God forbid, his girlfriend? Shoe might've been on the other foot, but the crowd would've still laughed, while squirming in their seats, making their clits protrude, a bit.

A lot of older kids "seem" to be better/OK with wetting/wearing, now that there are form-fitting pullups, and other age-appropriate products to wear. I might be wrong there, but I would definitely be less upset with these new products, compared to the choices when I was a kid (cloth diapers & plastic pants). These products are even WAY easier to manage, so they can pullup their own pullups, keeping mom/dad out of that interpersonal loop, thereby managing their wetting issues in private. I suspect that's why there are more and more ABDL's in the scene these days (they dealt with it alone, and found reasons to like the products based on cuteness, childlike designs, etc.) but again, I have no proof of that, just the empirical evidence.

Many of us physically/developmentally disabled have to wear diapers 24/7 for medical reasons.
Yes!
Even among us physically/developmentally disabled, diaper fetishism is not unknown, and seem to be more tolerated since we are disabled in the first place.

Thanks for posting that.
Was just about to mention karma and boy did he mess up lol!
This is the one place on the interwebz where we have this in common so for me its good enough.
I guess im at the age where i don't care what anyone thinks about our kind anymore.
However if i have an opportunity to defend somebody or they abuse our human rights, its on like Donkey Kong.
If they can dish it, they better be able to take to take it, s'all im sayin'.

1973 - the very first time homosexuality is verified as not-an-illness......2015 - same-sex marriage legal in the entire United States of America. That's a year gap of more than 40 years.

Now just try and hold this horrible concept in your head...that too many people might not drop the idea we're all pedos...for 40 years. Not something to look forward to. bringmesunshine

Even in 1973, gays had orders of magnitude greater penetration into the mind of the public than we do now or for the foreseeable future. To think ofnus as pedophiles or whatever, they first have to think of us, and they're not generally doing so, which is fine by me. We might gain some traction underneath the umbrellas of kink culture or just general acceptance of harmless strangeness but trying to get people to broadly recognize and understand the complexities of a tiny culture they have no interest in is a fool's errand in my opinion. The only people with any real interest in ABDLs are ABDLs and those who love them.

Ehhh ... doesn't really bother me in the least bit.

Even though it went badly, he deserves respect. Especially from this community. He tried, and to some he did reach out to. Scroll through the comments, there was one or two vanilla's who said it wasn't so bad.

He did absolutely everything in his power to try and make this part of his life a bit better. Maybe it wasn't what he or any of us expected, but he did what none of us would do. I think he did a great thing. In my opinion it just made Steve Harvey look worse. Call out for easy targets across the nation and just take cheap shots at their genitals the whole time. You're a funny guy, Steve.

If you do something that goes badly, as it has for everyone else in the same position (editing and framing out of their control on a program that benefits from sensationalism), I don't see how that is due respect or congratulation. It shows that they're either delusional or not doing their homework. Anyone can go and be made a fool of on these programs but I don't see why we have to say "good job" when the seemingly inevitable occurs.

Whatever dubious merit publicity has for us, I see it only in content where we have input, or better yet, final say on the edits.

Nobody on that show would be laughing if it was someone with CP or autism instead of that "tough guy". It has been my experience that many folks with developmental disabilities are nearly expected to be in diapers full time.
