I am not certain about a Final Destination 6, it's just like wanting a saw VIII (8) but they are still thinking about it even thou they already said saw 7 was the final chapter, I don't know what about FD6 will be about. They already know what goes on now and the enging went to the first FD when the 747 exploded.

I'd like to see FD 6 find it's revenge on the writers, directors and producers of these kinds of circuitous never ending repetitive slasher type movies. The first ones are usually good because someone survives and the viewer thinks, well, that's that. Then they have the sequel just to kill off the survivor of the first movie, and the nonsense continues. Sorry to be a downer, but new, fresh ideas are usually what I'm looking for.

I would say that these are different situations. Saw made a very big deal of intricate plots that tied back into seeds sown (explicitly or not) in previous movies. Final Destination had very little continuity from one movie to the next* but for the part where the main character does some research and finds out what's going on by piecing together news reports of deaths from the previous movies. There's little challenge to tacking on another one if a studio decides it would be financially worthwhile.

*Except for two, which did actually cast itself as a product of the original.

Not to contradict this, but I think you're misunderstanding why I saw the Final Destination movies. A few years ago me and my fiancee (then my girlfriend) took a vacation to Baltimore and in a B&N on the waterfront, there was an escalator with a glass side so you can see the machinery inside in action. I remember telling her "that looks like a horrible way to die" and went on with my life. That happened in December 2008. Shortly thereafter I saw a trailer for Final Destination 4 and lo and behold, there was an escalator trying to eat a hot teenage girl! It was something too good to pass up and I did not. Storytelling was not part of why I saw that movie. A desire to see someone get sucked into the guts of an escalator without going to jail was.

I know they are very different but I was pulling on the similar aspects of it all where they want a sequal but are unfamiliar whether or not they are getting one...same thing thou is the blood muahahaha!

In my opinion, the first two were the best. I really do hope there isn't another. Its just another franchise they have milked to death and I honestly don't think I could handle another installment...

I have seen all of them and few I have seen 3-4 times, if they bring a 6th one out it will definitely be milking it, I know the 4th was originally going to be the final one calling The Final Destination and then made a 5th and made it all odd by setting it befor the first one.

I really like Horror movies, but I don't really want to see a FD6, even if it was to get revenge on the writers. Everyone has their own opinion on them, but for me, the first one was good... then the rest went down hill after that. Seemed like they were simply trying to get more creative with the deaths, and make them more gory... no real story... no real characters that I truly cared for. I need that in a movie. Give me a story & give me characters that I care for.

I'm not a fan of the whole gore porn stuff. Human Centipede... shudders... and they made a second... way worse... The Saw movies are like that in a way, but they are more sophisticated about it. Yes, they are pretty gory, but the story of it all makes those more watchable. It's not about the gore in those... well, I guess for some people it is...

They don't always kill off the survivor in the sequel. But yes, the new and fresh is where it's at. I really enjoyed movies like Trick 'r treat, Insidious, Cabin in the Woods, & Sinister in the last few years, because I hadn't seen anything like them.

Yes, this exactly. It wasn't always about the gore. The plots is why I watched. When I first sat down to watch the movies, I hated them. But then when I was able to watch them all at once, I found them more enjoyable, since it was easier to put the timeline of everything together at once.

LOL, yeah I understand a lot of people will watch for those reasons. I'm just not much into gore porn. I like horror, but to me horror doesn't always mean gore. Yeah, I'll watch a movie if it's got it in there. But for me, I need more than just gore and wild death scenes to keep my attention. I need a story that I get sucked into. That's what happened for me with SAW. Tried watching, and hated it. Then I realized the plot, and it was stretched out over several movies, and I was draw back to it. I'd dismissed the Saw films at first, because I didn't see the whole story.
