I will be buying some diapers from abu next month
Fruitkitty said:ABU diapers were notable for being priced similar to Bambinos without really being "premium" diapers by capacity - so I'm interested to hear if there are active plans to bring them up to par with competitors in this or future runs.
MaxiPad89 said:Personally, I didn't mind this. It seems like everyone just wants diapers to be thicker and hold more and such, but there are plenty of people who want a thinner diaper. Maybe you can only pee in it twice, but that's ok, there are plenty of other diapers you can wear all day and not have an issue with leaking. Sometimes it's nice to have an option that isn't a mattress in between your legs. Something you can discreetly wear out and about, or even just at home.
Not everything needs to be ridiculous capacity. As soon as medium SDKs are back, I'll gladly order a bunch. With the original Tena Slip Maxi gone, they might even become my diaper of choice.
Yes, seeing the placeholder for the cloth-backed diapers was encouraging. I don't know that I'll be jumping into any pre-orders, but I do look forward to having these again once they're back in stock.DLScottsman said:I will hopefully be able to order some cloth backed cushies when the come back in. Those were my favorite ones. Also excited to see what is under the coming soon images.

No medium SDKs at launch, which is unfortunate but is perhaps not surprising given that a huge backlog of orders is being fulfilled. I guess that means I get the benefit of seeing others confirm that all is well before I order anything myself.

At the same time, we need good companies to serve our community, so we shouldn't allow that skepticism to turn into cynicism and undermine good efforts.
jeremyi said:Absolutely. Remember just a couple years back, when ABU used to drop coupon codes every couple of weeks? You could get diapers down to almost the $1 mark - combining coupon codes WITH pre-discounted prices from site-wide sales. Now, we're getting the same for-play-only novelty diaper for the cost of a premium one. In order to compete as well as ABU at its peak, they'll have to either lower the prices, or raise the quality and capacity.

I just wish they had some sort of low-quantity sample packs. I don't want to get a case to find out the other size would be better: I'm 36", at the bottom end of Large and the upper end of medium. I know they have the pack of ten, but that's still quite a bit if they don't work out. May have to do it regardless
bambinod said:Well, the manager back then put himself out of business. That was probably a factor. Any buyer loves lower prices, but as a seller you can only go so far before it starts to squeeze you out of business. We're all hoping the Casy has better business (and better common) sense. And if ABU is truly under completely different management now, I see no logical reason to boycott them, I just don't get why a few are still feeling that way.
Casey: why are Cushies a little more expensive? I don't see any difference in the product description vs say, the SDK's. The product descriptions below each type are each in their own format, making comparisons difficult.
