Ok . .well not exactly cheating, but it's still against most casino's "rules" (It's not actually on the rules I don't think, but it's still sort of considered as such) because it's a method to have an advantage over the game, which defeats the purpose of it being gambling.

Huh? The only point of gambling is to make a profit. Winning doesn't defeat the purpose, it IS the purpose! Why else would anyone gamble?!

Having the statistical edge is necessary for casinos to stay in business. But having the edge over the casinos is necessary for rational people to gamble. Of course you can't both have the edge, but it doesn't defeat the purpose of gambling if you can beat the casinos at their own game. That's exactly the point of gambling!

There's no way a casino can legally prohibit what thoughts you have. So, if you can count cards, there's no law that says you have to erase your memory or lose on purpose to "make it fair" for the casino. If you can win, you do it. Take the casino for everything they've got, if you can.

When I said it defeats the purpose, I meant in the way the game is suppose to be played in the casino. Casinos have it set up so everyone has equal odds. That is the purpose. If you have a statistical advantage, then the game is no longer fair to anyone else who may be playing. The casinos do not want that. Not to mention they also don't want you to have the advantage against them.

Fact remains, most casinos will toss you out if they find out and possibly even blacklist you.

I mean truthfully .. I don't even know what we are disagreeing on at this moment. It's not like this is debatable because it is what it is, and it's not changing.

That's not how casinos work!!! If everyone had equal odds, the casinos wouldn't make any money. Casinos aim to always have a statistical advantage, and not to play when they don't. Gambling certainly isn't supposed to be fair!

Casinos set "one-armed bandits" to have different payout levels depending on their position on the casino floor. People get different odds depending on which machine they play. Again, there's nothing fair about it.

I'd have said exactly the same. You can't really debate facts. That's just how gambling works. :-/

When I said equal odds, I wasn't including the casino dealers in that, only the players. I also was not including machines in that either. Lol you simply are misunderstanding me is all. But guess it's my fault, didn't realize I had to be so specific XD.
