Thread: Fallen Police Officers

  1. #1

    Default Fallen Police Officers

Whether one likes or respects them or not as officers... Their lives are every bit as valuable as our own... They are fathers, and brothers, and sons... Mothers, sisters, and daughters... I believe that some may be AB/DL as well... or simply our friends...

Please take a moment of respect for others who have died without lawful justice...

These are deaths by gun, not accidental...

Why have we not cried out... the officers were murdered!

We want balance, respect, and justice... should we not give it too?

    This is very true.

ACLU did actually make a comment on this but it was very low key.

Though I suspect that the holidays have slowed things down a bit... I was a little saddened that these most recent deaths had not garnered any forum time... it took me two or three days to start it up myself...

    ...searching ACLU for a mention...

    Thank you,

ACLU of Massachusetts condemns murder of NYPD officers
    Submitted by Communications ... on Mon, 12/22/2014 - 12:09

    police practices

The ACLU of Massachusetts mourns the senseless murder of New York Police Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos. We condemn these murders, as we do violence against all police officers.

Nothing can justify murder, whether the victims are police officers or civilians. It’s time to adopt new approaches to ensuring public safety--for officers and civilians alike.

I wasn't sure but I noticed a couple missing from a community near me. Terrible, terrible murders of police officers.

There were several that I had not listed, and that was after filtering down to officers that were intentionally shot... except that one (5th down)... I actually had no idea the numbers... until I found that site...

In Lynchburg Va., starting salaries for police officers are significantly lower than those for starting teachers. That never made sense to me considering how their lives are at risk every day. As for both professions, the public doesn't appreciate them enough, especially considering what they do. I felt particularly bad for the Arizona officer as he was only 24 years old. It sickens me.

When the police begin to serve the people and are not just a puppet of the state then I will see them as fellow humans until then they are just a military force oppressing the people. How about giving respect to fallen fire fighters (especially the volunteers) , doctors , crossing guards you know people who give back positively to the community.

I stand with and support our law enforcement, it isn't an easy job. I hope and pray that all of them to stay safe.
