Sorry, just seeing this pissed me off. I'm all for protecting the environment and everything (I have solar panels on my house for both electrical and pool heat), but damaging something like this???

That makes me really angry too.

Vandalizing a World Heritage site is disgusting. They should be punished severely.

OH hell no they didn't! I'm glad they are pursuing criminal charges...Extreme vandalism? And you were trying to do something good? Who cares, you ruined a site.

Glad to see that they're going to treat these criminals just as that... criminals.

I am sorry to say that I fell for their "cause" in the '70s.

It was after I started actually reading both sides of the issue for a "research" paper in writing 123 that I found out their underlying agenda.

If these types of organizations are so concern about the environment then why do damage and destroy things to prove their point.

I could go off on a tangent with examples but I will not.

Extreme activist at both end of the spectrum are not productive.

It's a reminder of the fact that Greenpeace are more interested in publicity than actual environmental issues. Last year, Pascal Husting, the director of the organisation's 'International Programme' was preaching a message of reducing air travel because of our carbon footprint, whilst flying to meetings around the continent when he could easily have travelled by car or train instead. They've consistently failed to practice what they preach.
