Original Dragonball is better than DBZ, pacing, story and animation-wise
    Gurren Lagann
    Lupin the Third
Cowboy Bebop is an anime that everyone who is interested in anime should watch
    Durarara!!
Deadman Wonderland if you can get past the disgustingly edgy intro song
    Space Dandy
FLCL is very short, 6 episodes, very much worth a watch
Big O is fairly dated but it's otherwise a good watch
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
    Eureka Seven
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Samurai Champloo
Soul Eater isn't too amazing but it's fairly decent and worth a watch
Trigun if you can get past how dated it feels
YuYu Hakisho is also dated but it's fairly good for the most part
Detective Conan is also probably fairly dated feeling, but episodes are still coming out as far as I'm aware, just not the US by means of AS
    Code Geass

    There you go.

    Avoid:
    Naruto
    Bleach
    Deathnote
    Inuyashi
    Blood+
    Sword Art Online
    Attack on Titan

All of those have terrible pacing, quality, voice work, animation, and art style.

One Piece is fairly okay, but not too amazing
Fullmetal Alchemist is an anime everyone in the world has watched
FMA: Brotherhood is that anime's brother, and he is by far the better one

Also the majority of these are most likely not on Netflix.

Ok i have Read all the Above sugestions and my favorites of the Netflix that have not yet been listed

Blue Exorcist, Only one season but it is amazing if you are not to picky about the abundance of religion (Vatican, Satan, multiple other demons, praying, and Scripture)

Initial D: by far my Favorite Anime to date even surpassing Hellsing Ultimate (sadly not on netflix but a good one to check out when you can) if you are thrilled by Fast cars, street racing, there are some love and Date episodes. Netflix has the First 4 stages, season 1 is stage one season 2 is also stage 2, however Stage three is actually a Movie and needs to be watched before season 3 wich is actually stage 4, sadly stage 5 and the final stage (which is still not completed) have yet to make it to netflix.

there are a Few others but most i can think of have already been mentioned

Inuyasha: was mentioned earlier though not for the faint of heart the series is well over 150 episodes and VERY slow to get started but once it gets going it is amazing and fast paced, it is fudal Japan lots of Yoki (demon in american translation) alot of bloddy fight scenes and some of the Absolute Best story (in quality, delivery, and most every aspect as well. there are also 4 movies in the series that you should deffinatly watch but do them in order as they are in that order for a reason they are actually breaks in between episodes but it has been so long since i watched it i can scarsly remember. and their new series The Final Act is the wrap up after the story and ties off a bunch of loose ends the main anime left hanging. watch the movies Before the final act.

I agree with Blue Exorcist, but if you're against religion, you may cringe at parts. If you're Christian, you may cringe at parts, because the author obviously spent a lot of time researching Catholicism and Christianity, but you can tell he isn't one himself.

One of my favorites is Bakuman. It's by the same two guys who made Death Note, and it's about two kids trying to become manga artists. I know it doesn't sound interesting, but trust me. If you've seen/read Death Note, then you should know how gripping Ohba can make a story. When Ashirogi Mutou (the kids' pen name) gets published, you feel happy for them. But when something goes wrong, you feel anxious for them. Trust me, the story doesn't get boring.
