Default Anyone know how to tailor a onsie?

I have a pretty nice onsie but it was too big for my girlfriend and even too big for me when I ordered it. I'm now more of an AB than I was before so I want it for myself but it's still too big. Anyone know how I could get it to fit without destroying the pattern or pinning it like I was before? Thanks!

The pattern would be the issue. Any modification will show if it's patterned and not just a solid color.

What portion of the onesie is out of dimension to your body shape ?
A onesie is not supposed fit snug like a leotard !
If the material is cotton consider a HOT water wash to shrink it down ?
Is this the type that is a pull-over "T" shirt with crotch poppers/snaps ?
Or does it have a zipper (front or back) ?
Possible without any adjustment to just wear more bulky diapers ?
Too big a waist have an elastic band sewn to reduce the waist ?
Too much length then take the waist and fold it over a few inches to shorten the length ?
No real sewing skills then just simply wear a belt (locking preferred) snugging in the waist line !
Don't mess with the crotch poppers/snaps - the onesie is supposed to be big down there - too little material and poppers won't stay snapped shut !
Too much chest/bust material sew in darts to reduce the excess material ?
Don't worry about altering a printed pattern - a onesie is not the type of clothing that passes military uniform construction !
Finally you could wear clothing over the onesie - not as cute but a passable solution just like wearing a bib shortall over your diapers !

    Thanks for the response haha.

It's a button crotch styeled slip on onsie, no zippers. It's really really lose around the crotch even with a bellissimo diaper on. Everything else feels fine. I just want to tighten up around the diaper area :P

Also it's funny you mentioned military uniform inspection since I'm in the Air Force lol.
