    Default Switched to Cloth-Backed

Does anyone know the approximate time that pampers and huggies switched from plastic to cloth backed?

It was when pampers premium came out somwhere in late 90's. Other brands followed their example. I do recall that here in europe there were smaller brands that still used plastic early 2k's.

you could still get plastic backed nappies in the uk until last year when asda finally switched their smartprice nappies to a cloth back with elastic sides and velcro tabs from the classic white plastic with adhesive tabs abs a brightly colored cartoon taping strip.
