See, this is how fucked up the republican party has become from the tea party idiots like Ted Cruz. I'm now on the left side.

I'm not much of a political person and many of my opinions are weak but....

I wasn't sure how to answer a couple of the questions, and I think the test is very over-simplified, but here's what I got:

    Economic Left/Right: -5.88
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

    I think its broken...
To an extent, I believe in national isolationism, much like kim jong il.
we should seal our boarders, and refuse trade with other countries like china who pretty much run our consumer economy. Everything sold within U.S. boarders should be produced within U.S. boarders.

Nah, fit's. Stepping back from using other countries as a cheap producer, which is exploitation, is still way more social than conservative.

I also got Economic Left and Social Libertarian although personally I would prefer the term "Fabian Anarchist / Autonomist" - more and more I view politics through the lens of power, rather than "economic issues" or "social issues"...

It's designed really to handle debates within western democratic politics, and it's certainly not very good at handling extreme or unconventional positions - it puts Adolf Hitler only a couple of squares away from where it places the DUP on it's UK politics chart for instance, and while I'm personally more matched with the SDLP, I think that's ridiculous.

I believe the test has it's origins amongst Libertarian activists, certainly it shows a bit of bias in that regard: ANY state action in the economic sphere is treated pretty much the same, regardless of the aims of the action - you can be organising a command economy for total war or radically redistributing income to reduce inequality, and it would rank you the same :-s
