The basis of the above is a cheap pre-assembled Systemax barebone from Tigerdirect, it's a very solid little beast.

    AMD Athlon 2 X4 4200 (??)
    4 GB RAM
250 GB Hitachi deskstar from even more ancient times
Some really low powered ATI Radeon from the 4000 era.

I have a 5 year old PC with a Core i7 processor (cooled by one of those Corsair liquid-cooled heatsinks which keeps it ticking along at under 40 degrees C), nVidia GeForce GTS 250 and 6GB RAM. It's a triple-boot system with Arch Linux, and Windows XP and 7.

I've also got an old PIII that I use as a print server (running XP), a Core 2 Duo laptop (running Arch and XP) and an Asus EEE 901 laptop (running Arch).

Im currently using a new Acer Aspire One, 500gb sdd, 2kb ram (unfortunately that is being maxed out). Its a solid netbook, but a true horror when it comes to open up and work on. When i had it apart, i thought id never get it back together! lol

Though my old desk top is a 2003 dell 2350, I use it for data storage for my work. 250gb 7200rpm hd, 4kb of ram.

    I do collect vintage computers,

    1980 Atari 400 computer
1980 Sinclair 2kb ram, 2kb rom computer (the shere power of it!!!)
    1979 Texas Instruments ti-99/4
    1982 texas instruments ti-99/4A
    1982 Commodore Vic-20
    1996 macintosh 4400/200 power plus

they all work, outside of the vic-20, its.. problematic, but ive a few extra motherboards for it, so someday it will work again. I just know it

you sir Need an Amiga to finish off that beast vintage list. i have an Amiga 500 but its currently not useable and the spare parts to fix it are well over $1000 total so i dont see it running in the near future. but rest assured that it will run flawlessly when im done with it. might even load DOS on it and play TES arena And Daggerfall. but as it stands it has no Hard drive and i cant find an actual copy of the Amiga OS

I'm still with my old Core2Quad, OCed to 3.2 GHz. I was already tempted with current Haswells, so I guess it won't make it much longer :P Unfortunatley DDR4 seems a long way out still.
