Thread: The stuff people throw away.

Default The stuff people throw away.

I just can't believe what people throw out. I'm a trash man for a small trash company in my town and I have found so much stuff of some value.

5 desktop computers (all but one work)
3 laptops (one has broken screen)
    Xbox 360 ( works)
    Ps2 (works)
    Screen (works)
    Digital Camera 18mp (works)

People around here get something new and just throw out the old.

My dad works with me and he found a weed eater and a chainsaw both work

I used to work at the tip and you wouldn't believe what I would find.

    Such a shame.

Most of the stuff is somewhat outdated but I payed nothing for it so even if I can only sell it for $20 its a profit

I have worked on a trash truck so I know what people toss. You could open a secondhand shop with every thing people trow out that is still good. Some people live is a disposable world these days. Nothing seems to have any value to some people.

The trash trucks here all have a hydraulic claw for dumping the lidded trash cans along the curb

Once in a while I make a pleasant alleyway score though, about half of my pretty shoes (I find way more that don't fit) were a matter of turning the right corner at the right time

Someone once tossed a computer monitor in front of my house and it was there for a couple of days and then someone tossed it in our flower bed. I finally tossed it out myself. It was all in a few pieces and the screen was cracked.

Nice find. It is indeed amazing what you can find that people throw out.

If I don't have it, I'll keep it. I am quite handy at fixing too, if it needs a new part I'll either manufacture one myself or buy it and replace it.

    I have saved thousands.

The company I work for only runs 2 trucks and has 4 employees: the boss man and me run on truck and my dad and the other employe run the other one.

We don't have it bad as our boss works with us everyday.
