    Default UK 800gsm nappies

Asda have 800gsm terry towelling towels nappies for those who're interested.

a comparison with Dunelm's 650gsm (approx), with Asda's on the left:

hard to compare, thickness-wise, given the difference in nap, and i'm still evaluating their absorbancy (hampered by hot, hot weather; Flaming June, no less).
but, they're cheap enough for anyone to buy and try.

Thanks for this, I've never thought about comparing towelling / nappies by weight. I got hold of some 1960's / 70's Which? consumer magazine reports on nappies recently and they go into technical detail such as warp and weft and selvedges etc for the technically minded.

anyway, a bit more down to earth - the Sainsbury's Eygyptian Cotton towels which were on sale up unitl they changed them last year are fab and make great nappies!
