Thread: Applying cornstarch?

    Default Applying cornstarch?

Does anyone use cornstarch that is intended for cooking rather than baby powder made with cornstarch? I happened to buy the cooking cornstarch and it just comes in like, a tub of the stuff. I've just been reaching into the container and grabbing a scoopful with my hands then rubbing it in but it's quite messy. Is there a better way to apply it?

If you can find a large salt type shaker with larger holes in the top. You transfer the cornstarch to that. Then just sprinkle it on and rub it in.

I use cornstarch instead of talc. I just put it in an old baby-powder bottle and shake it out. Don't use a lot at once; it clumps up and gets gluey when wet.
