Thread: Is my therapist being rational?

  1. #1

Default Is my therapist being rational?

I told my therapist about ADISC (didnít specifically mention the site, just said a website pertinent to a fetish of mine) because I was having bizarre catastrophic anxiety about being arrested for going on AB/DL sites. While Iíve largely moved past this piece of anxiety, my therapist wants me to completely abstain from AB/DL (ďfetishĒ) websites; the computer I currently use was purchased by my parents, and he thinks itís unfair to look at things pertaining to my fetish on something that could ostensibly be traced back to them. So, in short, he wants me to purchase my own laptop for things of this nature so that none of this will be associated with my parents.

Honestly, I was doing fine just keeping away from AB/DL material for about a month, but I canít deny that itís part of my life and that I wish to embrace it in some fashion. I donít have a lot of money, and while it may be feasible to purchase a cheap laptop for purpose, I kind of want some input from other ABDLs on this matter before I make such a large purchase. Since this matter is relevant to a fetish that I keep hidden from everyone in my life, I canít really talk about it anywhere else. Obviously, Iím breaking his ďruleĒ by being here, but I donít feel that catastrophic anxiety anymore which was the issue to begin with.

You can't be areessted or charged with going on adisc or any ab/dl site or really most any fetish site unless its about child porn, beastality, etc. Anyways you can always use use private mode on firefox, or even install firefox to a thumb drive and it will only save the data/websites to that thumb drive.

But the main point is you really have nothing to worry about with law enforcement. If it's only stuff like adisc or daily diapers.

It won't make any difference if you use another computer -- you'll still be sharing the same network connection (I assume).

If you really wanted, you could get a second phone line and set up ADSL on that and make sure the telephony and Internet service provider accounts are in your name... Kinda expensive and pointless, though... Maybe you could transfer your parents accounts into your own name (I guess you'd have to be over 18)...? Tricky to explain, perhaps...

But I wouldn't worry about it... Wearing nappies isn't illegal and neither is visiting adult websites (nor using non-adult sites like this for innocent non-adult conversation)...

I'll stick my 'groan up' head on here. Even in the somewhat stringent child protection regimes that we have here in the UK that I worked with professionally, we wouldn't arrest you for viewing Adisc, GirlTalk.to or SissyKiss although your employer, college or school may have rules that make it a disciplinary matter if you view them on their patch. We'd only have you arrested for viewing, making or distribution child porn and in the UK some of those images may involve either drawings, tracings, or actual pictures of children (or images looking very much like) being assaulted sexually or say 'spanking, 'forced diapering'' or other physical or emotional abuse.
It wouldn't make a scrap of difference to me what you used to access sites IF (and I'm NOT accusing you of) one was to access inappropriate sites, you still would of over the same network, traceable to your ISP. It may be less inconvenient than to have your folks computer grounded and examined if you were to get a laptop of your own apart from privacy issues for you personally and that would be my strongest argument for encouraging you to get your own.
In general people be very careful about what sites you click on because as much as we're littles, in law we are responsible for our actions and always face consequences.

You can go a cheaper route and get a low-quality laptop for it. A Core 2 Duo Dell Latitude or a netbook can easily be had for under $200 on eBay. While you can't ensure your security from the network's perspective, you can encypt the entire laptop hard drive with TrueCrypt.

I'd recommend doing that for any computer, really. A regular Windows installation with only a password on log-in for security takes less than five minutes to break into.

Alternatively, burn yourself a Linux live CD (not a flash drive, a flash drive can be written to). This means the Linux OS would load into RAM alone, without touching the hard drive. Whenever you turn off the computer and take out the CD, anything you did is gone.

why is everyone going over the top with this, all op needs to do is just use private browsing and go on adisc when others are away from it so there not found, sending money on your own laptop has benefits but its a massive waste if you are doing it for adisc only, if anything i suggest getting yourself a cheap phone to browse the internet with, here there as cheap as £30 for something that can do all you want :3

Seriously talk to your therapist about what content your looking at I assume he knows about you being an abdl and you should make it clear that this site is about talking to each other not about anything immoral, with statements like that it sound like he may have the wrong idea about you! Hope all goes well good luck!

I was going to say the same thing. It really does sound like the therapist thinks he's looking at porn sites rather than something like adisc.

OP is in the US according to his profile, so finding a phone with decent Internet capabilities isn't cheap. Heck, you can pick up a decent NetBook or tablet for less if you look in the right places

In all seriousness though, yeah private browsing mode should be sufficient, or as fire2box suggested use portable Firefox. It doesn't have to be on a flash drive. Heck you can use normal Firefox with a custom profile on a flash drive if you want.

If you want instructions on how to do it I can post them when I'm back at home

Well, assuming the highly unlikely scenario your therapist is trying to avoid, what's the worst that could happen? Some men in fancy suits come up to your door and say "A COMPUTER YOU BOUGHT IS BEING USED TO LOOK AT A FETISH SITE OMG!" That's pretty much the worst that could possibly ever come of that situation, and that's still extremely unlikely to happen. As much as it doesn't seem so to you, your fetish isn't that strange. Nobody really cares what people get off to unless it's hurting something. So, just continue using your laptop as you have been. There's nothing terrible that can come of it.
