Default What are your favourite films?

Just thought I'd see what films ADISC likes.

Personally most of my favourites are comedies, but my all time favourite film has to be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Excellent attention to detail, made it exciting while (roughly) sticking to the book, excellent soundtrack, excellent actors, and the camaraderie between everyone backstage during the making of is amazing.

Aside from that, my favourite films are:
    Monty Python's The Holy Grail
    The Marx Brother's Duck Soup
The Longest Yard (Burt Reynolds version)
    Hot Shots!: Part Deux
    Reign of Fire
    Blazing Saddles

    Blade Runner
    Apocalypse Now
    Star Wars
    The Shawshank Redemption
    Good Night and Good Luck

I've probably got a ton of favorites, I tend to either like or not like something with very little in between, thus likes become more favorites =p. Off hand:

    Donnie Darko
    District 9
    Lion King
    Lion King 2
    Monty Python's The Holy Grail
The Life of Brian (probably my favorite Monty Python movie)
    Blazing Saddles
    Space Balls
    Young Frankenstein
    Van Wilder
Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (either version)

Uh..probably some others I'm forgetting, but I think that is a long enough list anyways =p

Ooh two people (make me three) mention moon! How great was that movie, I wanted to see that at the cinema after hearing Mark Kermode's review plus I really like Sam Rockwell but it was almost a cinema no show! The nearest screen to me was about 30 odd miles away! So had to make do with DVD! I'd love to own a cinema with about ten screens then I'd give films like this a chance can't wait for his next movie (Duncan Jones) apparently he gona do two more set in the same time as moon the first I think is set in a future Berlin!

    Back to the future
    Indy 1 & 3
shawshank Redemption (best film ever award)
    Ghostbusters 1 & 2

Just way to many to mention....I could go on all day!

Too bad about everything after the first 45 minutes. Still worth it, though.
