Default Something about the word nappy and its meanings

    Okay, rather random point, but...

When I was a little Canadian kid, diapers were diapers, goodnites were goodnites (or any tear-away bedwetter undies; 'goodnites' were generic to us like 'kleenex'), and naps were little rests during the day.

Later, I found out 'nappys' (nappies?) were British English for diapers.

Then I remembered that until I stopped having naps, Mom would wake me up from them and almost always ask if I "had a nice nappy-poo", or suggest it was "time for a nappy-poo".

'Twas a strange and amusing realization.

I mean, good grief, I was shly embarrassed enough if I PEED them !
