Nintendo is still fighting hard. Maybe they are in fear of the PS Vita, or maybe they have realized that the system is not as much of a success as they thought it would be.
Either way Nintendo announced that the 3DS will be cut to $169.99 USD. An $80 price cut!
Current owners of the Nintendo 3DS will be given 20 free downloads from the eShop separated in a certain fashion. 10 free games from September to December from the NES Console games. Also current owners will get these games before they are released. Starting in January of 2012 the current owners will be given another 10 free games from the gameboy (advance) shop. Once again they will be available early. Nintendo calls these the "Nintendo Ambassadors" and thanks them for purchasing the system early and being loyal with Nintendo.
So what do you all think about this? Will this change your mind about the 3DS if you don't already own one? Do you think the compensation awarded to current owners is fair?
