Default Why is it so hard to pee in a diaper?

Can anyone tell me? It takes a lot of effort for me to wet. Is this normal?

Yes, it's perfectly normal. You're body's not used to peeing yourself anymore, so it automatically holds it in to the best of its ability. Try to stand over a toilet or something when peeing yourself, and you'll have a [little] easier time going.

Ha yes it is completely normal, assuming you were potty-trained at a young age. Fortunately, the answer to overcoming your "problem" is very simple, but it will take time to master the art of peeing in your pants at will.

    1. The other posters hit the nail on the head...stand or sit on the toilet when you need to go, you could even pull your pants down at firstif that feels more natural.

    2. Drink lots of water, iced tea etc., and wait for the results. In addition to healthy rehydration, this will make it much easier to release at will.

    3. When you find that you are ready to graduate from the restroom, try another place where you feel safe and secure, like your bedroom, back room, etc.

    4. Once you have built up full confidence in your diapers' ability to do their job and protect you, you may want to try wetting them around other people, still in an environment where you feel comfortable. However, do not try to chart unfamiliar territory at this point, ie, wetting while sitting, multiple wettings, etc. Stick with what you know works and have thoroughly tested in privacy, in order to avoid any leaking disasters around others.

    4. Now you could start wearing and wetting out in public, should you choose to do so. At first it will be scary and exciting, but the more you do it, the more natural it will become. At first in public, you may want to only wet while say, by yourself in an aisle at the grocery store, etc.

    5. You know you have reached an important milestone when you can pee in your pants while in the midst of a social situation. If you can pee in your diaper while talking to and looking someone in the eyes, you are well on your way to being a diaper ninja, and you should be able to go just about anywhere!

    6. Experiment with different types of diapers in different body positions and situations. Only do this when you can afford the possibility of a leak, and be sure to protect bedding, furniture, etc. From leaks as you experiment, until you find out for sure what works for you.

The possibilities are endless, and it is a lot of fun figuring out how to get the most out of your diapers. Take it slow, and enjoy!

Just don't take it too far. You still want to have control, that way when you're not diapered you can still hold it easily.

It is very challenging at first. But in time you will become more comfortable with it.

It's just because your body is used to peeing only while standing/sitting on a toilet, and has been doing so for years. Any activity that you can do without thinking and have been doing everyday for years will like also feel very awkard if you suddenly start doing it in a different way than normal(try tieing your shoes backwards).

The best way to overcome it is just to practice. Try to relax, takeing a shallow breath and holding it for a bit can help as well. It's also important that you can trust the diaper you're wearing to not leak.
