Thread: The Return of THUNDERCATS (HOOOO!)

Default The Return of THUNDERCATS (HOOOO!)

This was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. Even though i don't remember much about it. I used to steal my older brother's thundercat toys and play with them.

I am excited to see the series returning to Cartoon Network at the end of this month. I was just wondering if there were any other Thundercats fans out there.

No, it's going to be an actual cartoon, not a CG movie. Like the old school thundercats.

You do know that is fake right?

The actual Thundercats movie will most likely not be crappy CGI.

If they screw it up, I will shove the Sword of Omens somewhere painful! I have very fond memories of Thundercats.

Alvin and the chipmunks, CGI (three times).
    Smurfs, CGI.
    Yogi Bear CGI.

somehow, I dobut a thundercats movie won't be in CGI.

the thing with smurfs, alvin and yogi are they are CGI and live action, I thin if they do a thundercats, they are going to go more along the lines of little to no CGI.

I love thunder cats! The original cartoon was so deep. My fav. was the one where one of the thunder cats went thru a cave and came out really old and had to save himself by going to the fountain of youth with the flying cobras attacking him. Those flying cobras were scary!!

I am quite looking forward to it, but with the whole reboot/remake business these days I really hope they do Thundercats justice. It'll be interesting to see how they do it. It obviously has a more anime feeling. I was a big big fan when I was younger (and it probably helped me learn English too) and I owned all kinds of Thundercats goodies. There is a picture of me being 8 or 9 yrs old with a lion-o mask and his sword running around in the garden (butnaked for the rest of it, but that's not the point) and it always brings back good memories! Although I think my parent's got a bit tired of my shouting Thundercats HOOO all the time.
