Thread: Gleen Beck's show is ending

Default Gleen Beck's show is ending

Fox News Channel has decided to stop Gleen Beck's show later this year due to lower ratings and advertising boycotts.

Glenn Beck to End Daily Fox News Program -

I used to watch the show daily around when it first came on and I thought it was decent back then. But he start slowly turning into a train wreck. I also don't watch Bill's show all that much anymore since a lot of it's boring or I already know what he's going to say.

Hopefully they can bring back Brit Hume, who's my personal favorite since Peter Jennings passed away out of all reporters.

I think the only reason it was on in the first place was the fact that it was a center for controversy. It gave them constant free advertising and tons of viewer curiosity.

I don't recall any controversy over it when it first started to air, back when I thought it was a good show if nothing else was on.

I guess Fox got tired of losing advertisers. At the last count, Glenn Beck was down to just fake-Viagra, pet-meds, and gold coins for sponsors.

That guy was just nuts, I am not surprised. I guess people just got tired of his antics. Plus, his ratings literally were cut in half within a year so this was bound to happen.

I am sure Fox "News" (I think the channel should be renamed to Fox Politics because its majorly right-wing opinion IMO) will find someone just as crazy to replace him.

It also got tiresome how he declared everyone even a nanometer to the left of him as a "Marxist Communist". It cracked me up how he often equated Islam with Marxism (as if the two belief systems have anything in common). He also didn't see the irony of pushing Christian fascism as a way to "protect" America from Islamic fascism (as if either model would be particularly life-affirming as a system of governance).

    Good riddance!

I try not to watch any kind of news channels*...Fox News in particular makes me froth at the mouth like a rabid coyote. :P

At first I thought he was the "Tide goes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication." guy, but that's Bill O'Reilly. XD

*I've actually blocked all of the news channels on my TV with the exception of the local news station. And that I only watch when I want to know what the weather will be like. I could use the Weather Channel, but I hate waiting around while they talk about how it's going to be 85 and sunny in LA and then say it will be -10 and three feet of snow where I live. LOL!

Good riddance - the guy might as well be the definition of "nutjob."

I can't honestly say that I will miss him. He was/is nuts and seeing him go is good. Unfortunately, Faux News being what it is, will probably find someone just as crazy, if not more so, to replace him.
