Thread: UPnP

    Default UPnP

Ok so when i ran a connection tes on my PS3 I get a Type 2 NAT, which from what I read is a "open" NAT.

When I load into Black Ops it tell me my NAT Type is moderate.

I read online that enabling UPnP can fix this, which it did. But I also read that using UPnP can create security holes.

Is this a true stament? Is UPnP safe to use? Is there a safer way to get a Open NAT type?

UPnP is Universal Plug n Play. which is used primarily for streaming content back and forth from multiple devices. theres no security holes that ive heard that yet affect the ps3. so yes it would be safe to turn on UPnP.
