Thread: Blocking domains on Windows.

  1. #1

    Default Blocking domains on Windows.

    I am running a dual-boot system currently.

Blocking domains on Linux is easy.

But I do not see an option in the Windows Firewall to block domains or IP addresses.

I am running XP, just so you know.

If anybody can help me figure out a way to do this without installing any new software, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

(There are a couple of domains a guest of mine likes using my computer for, and I don't like him using my computer for that, so..... Yeah.)

If you want to block certain domains/ips you can edit the hosts file, it's in %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\. Just redirect them to localhost and it should be good.
